Funnily enough the Templars that so many are bad mouthing actually save the MC and fix the situation later with the kill squads.

If I'm in immediate danger and still figuring things out, the logical and composed thing to do is go with the people that just rescued you, are your family, and are giving you a place to hide while bullets are flying.

Yeah I mean id stay with the family / Templars cause I know im dead on my own but I would do my best to get them to go to a safer location or something. I wouldn't feel safe in their family home even if they have Templars to guard the place. I'm not really pro Templars or Elfs yet not enough for me like or dislike to pick a side yet personally.

To be honest, I'm waiting for a situation where Fiona and MC face some enemys, anyway now that CH6 is out my guess would be that the clashes ramp up a bit.

If it was a safe house or something id agree but a family house the MC grew up in id have to disagree because the enemy would be able to find that location easier and it doesn't look exactly safe and secure from an potential attack

They pick a fight with a car, because they have a whole fleet of them to give chase. Going in the belly of the beast voids all their advantages from the road. Also there is no police, traffic or any town surveillance - thsi looks like the barren streets of Gotham when Joker and Batman give chase to each other. Lawless game setting is lawless.

I have played the game only once, on Steam, in july, doing a kinda Kaija lovely path, combined with Fiona romance+sex and side girls cheating. So, I still have to do those single path runs. But, I know everything what is happening in the game, from here and your... wars.
I am 51yo divorced straight male with no prejudices against LGBT, but fully aware of what geopolitical interests are behind the woke movement. I have bought the game on Steam, I have a Mercenary subscription on Patreon, which should tell you that I like the game quite a lot and that I dont talk like an ungratefull brat, who got the game for free. Also, I am not biased to any girl in this game, I like them all, be it their ”feminine” side, or their ”human” side. And I admire Ceolag for his... ambition, dedication, seriosity, profesionalism, creativity, imagination, talent! So, anything that I will say is out of love and with the only intention to help.
Still, there are few truths (my personal truths, ofc, Mav) that must be said (again) so that the ”dev” may be able to learn from his (beginner) mistakes. And I feel that these must be said now, before Chapter 7 is finished...

He is not your age or even my age (I'm older), he is still very young in the reality of things, more than half your age...so I think some leeway is majorly warranted when your entire godamn world burns to the ground and everything you believed to be true (or myth), you suddenly find out isn't and realise people very close to you have lied to you all your life and one has betrayed your trust completely.

For that, give the MC some slack.

Reading all this thread I got to like you. Not as much as HF likes you. And not as much as I like Joshy, but still... Sometimes you are nice and smart, sometime you rush to piss on peoples. Some deserve it, some not. (I have did as you asked, breaks are there now)

In 605 pages, I have got to know your sarcastic positions, but the mockery doesnt scare me, nor the superior tone. Having only 1 or 2 post here doesnt make me a rookie at understanding writing or storymaking. Neither as social interactions.

Now, I havent said anywhere that my post is an ”opinion” or a ”fact”. I just expressed what I THINK about the game, the story and Ceolag ”inception”. So, there is no need to get me schooled like that. For me, this the truth, is what I think about the game, the MC, the Ceolag work. Is this just an opinion? Probably, but who need such labels anyway? Is the ultimate truth? No, but is my truth. No one can know the ultimate truth, because the big truth is formed by everyone truth. So, if that word disturbed you, my sarcastic apologies. But I tend to say the things as I see them. And I think that the author should see everyone of his players personal truths, so that he can understand how his creations look outside of his head. But, yes, maybe to not offend some sensitive guys, I will add MY there. (Done, edited for your like)

Now, about your dear MC. First, I must observe that you havent given Kaija the same slack, even she is as young as him. Second, if you havent rushed to ”slack” me, you would have realized that, after all that I have said, I would not have finished the six chapters of the game if I wouldnt give the kid a biiiiig slack. Third, the moment I have said the MC is just a story tool, I have given him not a slack, but a thrump card.

So, what we have left? Your truth is that he is young and he is allowed to be ”puerile”. My truth is that you are half right, but such a half-rage, half-dumb hero doesnt fit in the story... anymore.

Finally... My issue is not with that tool of MC, it is with Ceolag, because he wants to take us into this great safari with an old Trabant... ;p

Men like MC who are living it up just being dumb and letting life provide everything and everyone is a wonderful story telling companion, as most interesting tension breakers come when unexpected solutions are introduced via plot over the heads of the protagonist and the antagonist to arrange the result: swords with skills settle most of the battles MC fights, Kaija settles the others and the plot gives MC resistance to succubi as a bonus.
