Well for one, I'm from the south myself
Howdy.

I'm kind of a sucker for a girl who's, at least emotionally, damaged goods.
Oooh boy do we got some things for you to look forward to.

I see the vulnerability and it engages my protection instincts.
And you will be able to act on them. On more than one occasion in Chapter 1.

I wonder what that says about me as a person.
I mean without interviewing you to get a thorough psych analysis, it usually means you instinctually value the survival of the group.

I'm also a sucker for both redheads and girls with a white streak in their hair.
There are a lot of X-Gals that fall into this category.

I'm not too familiar with the comics, but now I feel obligated to read them.
They're simple fun. Maybe take 'least two separate stories about Rogue and read 'em. Or, y'know, there were other TV shows with Rogue aside from Evolution.

I was curious about Laura so I read two of her's, and that was enough for me to decide if I was going to continue to read 'em. I didn't, but at least one of the stories were - more than - good enough that it wasn't just a waste of time.

To add to what Shiny said. It has a lot to do with control - unlike the route people usually take with men wanting to control things, I'd like to make it clear that it's just an absolutely fine thing to feel.
Men who weren't filtered by modern day society understand the honor that it is to help the weak, or the feel that are yet to grow up emotionally - strong man have helped those with poor spirits and weak wills since the beginning of time.

What it says is that you're based, and a masculine fellow. Hopefully you won't ever let society or your own feelings stop you from feeling the same in real life, because women - just as ever, don't let anyone tell you otherwise - want a man that wishes to protect.

Not just you, Rapeseed, but if anyone could recommend me some good comics to start with for Rogue, I'd appreciate it.

I certainly do feel it's a man's duty to protect the weak, if not directly, then by facilitating them to protect themselves.

What a deliciously sexy lady.
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well.

I got none, I'm not an actual comic-book fan. I've only read most of The Walking Dead, a bit of Deadpool and all of Innocence Lost and Target-X.

Though, I would reccomend Innocence Lost - it's genuine comic kino. Target-X is terrible, but if you want to know the divergence point from the usual comic Laura to the Laura in this game; you oughta read it.
I could actually pass you a .rar or .7zip archive with both, if you'd like. Or the first complete collection from her, but that's a bit bigger of an archive. It has a bit of director commentary, which is nice.

I certainly do feel it's a man's duty to protect the weak, if not directly, then by facilitating them to protect themselves.
That is the absolute truth - a strong man is made to be a smart political being - what you've added there is the best way of putting it, a man's duty is to help facilitate. Others, society, ideals, himself and family - in the order from last to first, the way I see it.

Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well.
I'm a common man, with common sense. She's well-kept, has a nice smile - it's attractive, even if somehow not sexually; in the context I'm talking about her.

Shiny gave a link for the material needed for the game, as well as a reading order for Laura. Readings and the such would be an awesome tab in the Discord.

"Needed" is a bit too strong a word. It's really just reading the source material before

I'm banned from commenting on girls other than the initial four shown thus far, the dev team wants y'all to be surprised, but I am allowed to discuss some things about girls that are seen.

Rogue is probably someone whose early readings will be completely useless going into Null Hypothesis as she was a villain for quite a while. She's not a saint on Earth-69 but she's a member of the X-Men far earlier in the timeline.

If the plan was to do a comic book-based story from the beginning then the main girls would probably be Jean, Storm, and Dazzler going by the rule of 3 and chapter 1 wouldn't be the setup easing you into the world that we plan it to be.

Though Ron Chon had way too much art of Rogue and X-23 already done to push them back and we needed the current shape of Chapter 1 to accommodate changes.

Maybe when we're finished I can create a director's cut that follows the pacing of the comic books more.

Currently, you can read Jean, X-23, and Storm's content if you want a sneak peek of what we're adapting.

There will be some obvious changes as a general rule of our adaptation is to not include some contrivances and some of the edge that was included for the sake of edge.

Edit: We're also not adapting the 60 million alien invasions almost exclusive to the X-Men Comics. You get one and no more than ONE.

Are we saying we're factually better writers than professional comic book authors? No.

Are we saying we're factually better than Marvel's editorial staff and their corporate mandates? Yes, aggressively so. Fuck'em.

It's the reason why we're not making the guys incels or allowing you to be a homewrecker. We know how to tell a story without making the characters miserable for no goddamn reason. We're not going to inject mellow drama or split up couples just because we think we can't tell a story unless a character is single or dating one specific person. Which I remind is the stated reason for One More Day splitting up Peter and Mary Jane. Joe Quesada couldn't figure out how to have Spider-Man exist with a happy marriage.

Why are they currently broke up? Are we replacing Paul?

As much as I'd like to be the netori man or cuck a dude, I get wanting characters to be happy or not making them shitty for no reason.

Edit: which reminds me of that Time Cuck movie. "Needle in a timestack" or an equally dumb name.

I don't wish to be mean, or take away the accomplishment you guys clearly deserve for making a product; it's not hard to be factually better/more interesting/deeper than most main stream media, be it comics, movies or games.

I joke around a lot, but respect for my time reading is what I expect from my porn now-a-days. I've seem enough: Jacking off's easy, and it ain't hard to get a sexy plot - it is almost impossible to not feel like you're wasting your time when playing porn, however.
There's joy in reading cohesive story, that treats characters as personalities to explore instead of estereotypes. Now, I'm not saying they are or aren't anything, the game's not even out yet - but with 0.3c I've got hope that even if they're are just estereotypes, I can still mold my Null in interesting ways around those estereotypes.

Incels are cringe, enough said - but homewrecking is a difficult fetish to put on screen whilst being interesting. I mean, you can be like the thousand other stories and do the usual - but then, along not respecting your reader's intelect, you're also not really making anything interesting. It's one of those fetishes that relies on the psychological - it can't be done like having sex with a certain body-type, gender or personality; it requires fluff, and it requires respect for the words written.
We also don't need homewrecking if the plot manages to follow it's way while maintaining itself interesting.

And that's the hope, that it is interesting, and if you can make reading anything interesting, anywhere; you'll have infinite content - just like comics, who have been going for a really long time now. Thankfully we don't have to only read since it's also a visually appealing medium.

Oh yeah, Shiny, this may have been asked before, but will there be a villain route, maybe with some mind control involved, or will "anti-hero" be the darkest we can go? Also, what about female villains? Any plans for them? Maybe some redemption arcs?
