Storm's always felt 'older' than the rest of the team, for some reason. She was meant to be late-teens/early-20s when she joined, but she came across as much more mature than everyone else. It just seems to be one of those weird things everyone just kinda agrees on.

We did have several arguments discussions about what age she should be in the game, and one of the big deciding factors was that we didn't have anyone over 22 in the game, and probably wouldn't for some time if we kept her age consistent with how it should be. And considering how vocal the milf-lovers have been, that was basically what tipped the scales.

Makes sense to me, she spent much of her life travelling and had her time larping as an african godess, shes mature beyond her years and in order to control her powers she must be cool and collected, then you also add that she has an agreeable personality and you end up with a calm, motherly woman.

I've never really understood the point of coming to a game's thread, complaining about it for a few posts and then disappearing again. The most I've done is lurk around searching for some info and if I can't find it THEN ask a question that might be blindingly obvious to regulars.

You've probably caught up enough in the Book Club to be aware of a conversation I've had with The_Man_With_No_Name on the matter. In sort, it's just one of those "average fan vs average enjoyer" things.

So I'm replaying now, and I've noticed that all of the "quirk" choices are gone? Is there something special I have to do to "activate" them, or have they been redone in some way later on?

I've checked the code after extracting with Unren and it seems like you need to be dating the girls now to activate some of the quirks.

You probably think so because in X-men Evolution and other cartoons, they usually make Storm older so she can act more like the mom of the X-men she usually is in the comics, in Evo she was a teacher with Logan.
In the comics, Jean is slightly older than Storm, and Emma is around the same age as Jean, in the game they decided to go the X-men evolution route and make Storm older too.

Even though Boots didn't give us an exact number on Emma's age he did classify her as "Visibly Late 20s" so Emma is probably older than Jean too in TNH.

...Oh yeah. I did paint Rogue like one of my French girls.

Could be amusing to have artist Null have the opportunity to draw and/or paint each girls and offer the work as gifts to the respective girl, while jock and nerd Null can only do stick figures of which are pinned to the refrigerator.

And yes, it's a gag in Summertime Saga, though their main character is a jack-of-all-trades as opposed to specifically being an artist.

She looks in her late teens to me. Out of context I'd even say she looks the youngest of all the chicks we've seen bar Kitty. When she first came out, there was some conversation about her looking kinda doll-like and young instead of the well known bitchy smug face jaded but 10, and iirc, Boots said something about her looking older once she makes some facial expressions. But since I haven't seen them, I can't say.
