"Hey Null, do you want to, like, play Halo in my room and stuff?"
Man, I've had that happen, where a girl invites you over to play halo but she really just wants to fuck. It's honestly kind of annoying. Can we do a Legendary run then fool around? smh

I'm after my first playthrough and I have to say I'm impressed and really enjoyed it.

Will soon start my second one to check some other choices and diff. first girl etc maybe even just one will see

I kinda enjoyed small talk between girls here and there Like Laura " Be gone " attitude towards Jean when they were neutral or Laura ( GF ) and Rogue talk in bedroom and Laura explaining how big MC's... personality is.

I assume that only way to ruin girls friendship is by cheating ? kinda shame cause would love to explore some low friendships dialogue between them and overall if there was more of it but we will see.

So far as I said I greatly enjoyed it despite my memory of much of X-Men lore be foggy for me after years maybe nostalgia added to my exp. not gonna lie but it's also a bonus.

My only complaint with this version of Rouge is that she looked better with long wild hair.
I have no issue reminding people that she will gain her long hair in the future. She's gonna grow it out. For the few here that dislike her hair long. if you're dating her you have the option of telling her to cut it.

But it was so damn cute though!
I love my Kitty from the comics, but adding a bit of Evo would make it the perfect rendition of her character.

I'm not saying she isn't/wasn't cute that way. Maybe we'll make it a quirk or something. Bimbofication-lite IDK.

Well mby someone's gonna hate me and call me fake ass bi4
I mean you are a fake ass bi4 but I still think your opinion is valid. :p

One of the best things about TNH its how well it captures the comics though.
Example A ladies and gentlemen.

Preach.

Currently cheating is the fastest way to ruining a friendship.

Story events can have an effect. I believe there is point gain when you push Laura and Rogue into becoming friends.

There will be girls who will start off hating each other. It's not a spoiler to say Kitty won't have the highest opinion of Emma if you've read the comics.

I'll bug the writers into considering some special dialogue between the initial three girls.

Bro, just stop. That is Faith and Buffy.
I have no idea how you are even able to mistake a godess like Eliza Dushku with Alyson Hannigan
>implying Alyson Hannigan isn't also a goddess

Well fuck me twice then I guess.

Regardless of my forgetfulness of two scenes I haven't seen in like a decade(Longer for Buffy)... My point still stands. Pretending the X-Men don't have LGBT subtext is just willful denial. Regardless of people's views on women relation ship dynamics.

That's the tricky part. Because of the timeline change, the events of the comics are now taking place during the time period of Evo.

Though to be honest, we'll likely take elements from Evo and throw them into the characters like we did for the others.

For example. Rogue in Evolution was Goth because that was shorthand for showing someone as the outcast loner type. There's elements of that in our game but we expanded it to her liking the music and focusing on her fashion. Though like in the comics, she doesn't have that self confidence yet. People often forget that there was a solid 2 decades of Rogue not being a confident southern belle and that even after she became that she still had deep rooted insecurities.

Kitty was preppy in the comics and during the 80s the stereotype for that was a dorky girl. During the 2000s when Evo came out. The stereotype for preps was a valley girl. The writers very much plan on leaning towards the comic interpretation but there will be Evo elements. I just don't know to what extent. I know she's not gonna be like Oni's take on the character because she's basically just lifted from the show.
Thanks for the detailed answer, Shiny. I figured you're likely hewing closer to the original 80s Kitty, but the Buffy gifs just reminded me of the links between them in my head and I had to ask. Sarah Michelle Gellar would probably have made a very good Kitty at one point, tbh.

Honestly, I'm not sure that the 80s Dorky Klutz and 00s Evo Valley Girl versions of Kitty could ever be merged successfully. Like you say, Southern Belle Rogue mixed with Evo Goth Rogue works because the personality traits still compliment each other in spite of the contrasting aesthetics. But these two versions of Kitty are way more mutually exclusive. If Kitty's a Dorky Klutz, she's never going to be popular or trendy; vice versa, if she's a Valley Girl, she's not also gonna somehow be this absolute nerd.

Although, now I'm thinking about potential TV influences and the trickiness of balancing the 80s versus the 00s, then why not take from a 00s show that's ABOUT the 80s? Use Linda Cardellini from Freaks and Geeks (which I really should get back to) as your model for Kitty -- she's a nerd, slightly dorky and awkward, but also a cool hot outcast nerd. Best of both worlds. The show's even set in 1980-1, which is exactly when Kitty was introduced. But then maybe you're getting too far away from the real Kitty.

Apologies for the unsolicited brainstorming, I liked going off on this tangent.

Evo's Kitty wasnt popular or trendy though, she was a bookworm and only hanged out with the other X-men unlike, say, Jean, the only person that paid her any mind was Lance and thats because he first wanted to use her powers to steal shit and after wanted to bone her.

I confess that I've never actually watched Evo and I always just assumed that version of Kitty was popular and cool because of the pink outfits and her, like, whole valley girl speak.

The entire cast are generally outcasts, Jean was the popular, smart, soccer girl until they all got revealed as mutants, same with Spyke, who was the cool skateboard kid, Rogue, Kitty, Kurt and Scott are always shown as being generally kept at arms lenght by everybody.

Kitty is a cutie but she isnt some popular girl and gets treated like a nerd, while Rogue is treated like if she had aids by everyone else that isnt a part of Xavier's save for Wanda and the brotherhood.

Well mby someone's gonna hate me and call me fake ass bi4, it's just.. I'm not much of a comic book fan, I'm not into it and everything I know is the basic knowledge from movies and cartoons, well mby a few short visuals and reviews and I think who cares about comic book character's accuracy, for me it's well made parody to fap and lmao on it.

You don't have to be a bimbo to be a valley girl, it's just way of talking derived from a local culture. Just like you don't have to be a redneck to have a southern drawl.
Her being bubbly and girly doesn't take away from her being smart. As a matter of fact a lot of smart women put on the bubbly persona because it's useful for getting ahead, Kitty doesn't even need to fake it. She is a teenage girl from a well off family who is a little naive at first, unlike most of the other X-men she had a great childhood and loving parents, a valley girl persona is fitting IMO.

Thinking about it most bimbos I've met don't have the valley girl vibe at all, it's more of a faux CEO attitude, pretty bizarre now that I think about it.

The point is down to strength of belief. If I remember, at one point, Kurt does grab the crucifix and it does work against Dracula. The implication is that one's own faith is tested against Dracula or other vampires, so a Buddhist holding a Dharma wheel would be able to hurt the vampire in question, or any other religious symbol would have the same effect.
I'm not arguing that. What I'm trying to get across is that he states just being in the presence of a holy object held by someone with faith in it should be hurting him. So just being around the star held by someone with belief should too, but her star didn't do anything until he made contact with it when he grabbed her neck. To me that's implying that the star wouldn't work or that her faith in her religion isn't that strong and either way its the silver that burned him.

Bear in mind that this is Kitty taking on Dracula while dressed as some sort of hybrid Indiana Jones and Van Helsing. She's a kid, and all of her knowledge about Dracula and vampires probably comes from Saturday night Hammer Horror movies. She's only ever seen Dracula cowering before the crucifix. In a kid's mind, its a given, you show a vampire a cross, they're shitting themselves.

Note that in the scene, Dracula himself says "The very presence of that holy object should be anathema to me...yet it has absolutely no effect!" He outright tells Kitty that the wielder needs to believe in it and explicitly tells her that she isn't a Christian, but a Jew. And if you know anything about Kitty Pryde, she is immensely proud to be Jewish and . Dracula unintentionally reminded her of that.

The overall implication is that it's a combination of Kitty's faith and the silver in her Magen David pendant.

Does this game not get like, real content updates anymore and has just become a way to farm money on Patreon?

Everything just seems to be 'performance tweaks' which don't actually seem to do anything........its been quite a while since any new gameplay has been added and its starting to feel a little but like a cashgrab. Hope im wrong.......

Have you missed all the art previews?
They have stated since atleast as far as 0.4 that they wanted to finish the base game with 1.0 before starting chapter 2 with 1.1, the development gets more streamlined if you have your game actually finished before adding more characters and story.
