Ahh, I see. While I do watch abit of X-men and know the basics, I'm not that knowledgeable on the lore. So I was confused when other guys here were talking about defeating Pheonix.

Does this mean work & content for v0.9 and v1.0 is already done, so only the C2S1+ content for v1.1 is still missing? We finished Chapter 1's finale a few updates ago. The next 2 major numeral updates (0.9 and 1.0) will be implementing systems and features we want in place before we move onto putting the story of Chapter 2.
No need to worry though. As previews have shown, we're already working on the art and writing for Chapter 2. So the wait in between 1.0 and 1.1 shouldn't take that long depending on how much of the art and writing gets done.
I feel so fucking vindicated right now. Also beach volleyball for the girls.
Fair enough, was more of a hypothetical than any actual call to copy Hulk's powers.Null's X-Gene isn't gonna randomly make him have gamma radiation.
Will he be exposed to gamma radiation separately? I have no idea. I'm not a writer.
If I was a writer I'd say no because I don't want Null to be like Ichigo where he has ALL of the powers.
This actually touches on something I want to bring up. Ignoring previous theories, is it even power copying or power mimicry? Null's power is weird, and while mutant powers are weird, suddenly gaining a close facsimile power of your mutant girlfriend and only your girlfriend in a life-or-death situation when you're a power nullifier is weird even for that (though Marvel proved me wrong before).Null's best chance for super strength would be Collossus, but so far he only seems to have copied female powers. Wolverine has some level of super strength, so it stands to reason that Laura (being either a clone or his daughter, take your pick) would seem to be his best bet, although with Wolverine/X-23 levels of strength he isn't going to be doing utterly ridiculous things, just very impressive.
just because of how the mc has a better version of taskmaster's power, i think it be funny if there was a scene of the mc and others are making fun of him. because you gotta admit he is pretty lame. has the ability to copy, but can only copy physical feats like how to fight, or how to swim like a gold wining Olympic athlete which any one can do with practice, and not only that but in order to do so he has to completely forget something else.
ps- oh, i just thought of something if he copied taskmaster's power would it override his, or would he have both?
I think originally they were just making a bomb. Some clown got caught in the blast area and Bruce went to go save him.As I understand it, his transformation was the result of Bruce Banner trying to recreate the super soldier serum and an interaction with Gamma Radiation.
No. Assets and programming are two different things.Does this mean work & content for v0.9 and v1.0 is already done, so only the C2S1+ content for v1.1 is still missing?
Could you please tell the devs the things I suggested in my earlier post... not about taskmaster but the one before that.No need to worry though. As previews have shown, we're already working on the art and writing for Chapter 2. So the wait in between 1.0 and 1.1 shouldn't take that long depending on how much of the art and writing gets done.
Correct. Hulk's origin is that he was working at the amazingly named "Desert Base" in New Mexico on a special gamma bomb for the US Army, and as they were testing one of them some idiot named Rick Jones (who becomes Hulk's friend, because everyone needs an idiot friend) was driving into the testing range (somehow...shit security, I guess) so Bruce rushes out of the testing bunker and intercepts him. He manages to throw him into a trench / ditch thing but as Bruce himself is diving in after him (and landing on top of him) the bomb goes off and Bruce gets dosed with a shitload of gamma radiation, but between the ditch and Bruce, Rick is shielded. Later on Bruce and Rick end up being confined in the base and Bruce freaks out and turns into the Hulk for the first time and breaks them out.I think originally they were just making a bomb. Some clown got caught in the blast area and Bruce went to go save him.
Going super old school huh? Indeed, it was Rick Jones.I think originally they were just making a bomb. Some clown got caught in the blast area and Bruce went to go save him.
And RLE, and a few other artists out there, including myself.I thought it was adorable that TNH did that.
Quick edit and I agree.Gunsmoke's upcoming X-Men Evo game is invalidif they don't do the same.
I have a theory about this. I suspect, that the reason Null gained nulification is because when he was first attacked, he needed to create a power, but didn't have a powered girlfriend, so the power did the only thing it could "think" of and gave him negation. This actually touches on something I want to bring up. That's not even going into the Sentinel's reaction or the Shadow King's interest in Null, despite seemingly having no idea what his powers actually are, which is weird for a character like the Shadow King. Feels like there is a bigger plot going on beyond Null just having a unique power, and while we've all had our theories, none of them really answer everything. Obviously, later chapters will answer this, but it is a brain puzzler currently.
I think you might be confusing what I meant (or I phrased it wrong), I wasn't talking about being in multiple universes but rather that it can exist in multiple locations at once and in different times, it's not bound to one location in time, it's a 4rth dimensional being. This is actually false. The other two you mentioned yes. They are present in every universe at once. However the Phoenix is one of those universal constants. Meaning every universe has a Phoenix but it doesn't transcend the universes.
It seems the most accurate based on how it went down and how the Shadow King reacted. So that would make it some form of power manifestation/ adaptation ability, but purely reactionary and seemingly requiring existing knowledge of a mutant's power in order to manifest a new power, albeit a lesser version than the one it's mimicking, barring extreme examples which resulted in nullification. A perfect copy seems impossible since it seems to require subconscious knowledge and understanding of a power, which is why Laura's power is the closest copy (still lesser due to no knowledge of the limits of her regen). It would also make sense why he didn't get a new power at the end of chapter 1 because he didn't subconsciously need a new power at that moment.I have a theory about this. I suspect, that the reason Null gained nulification is because when he was first attacked, he needed to create a power, but didn't have a powered girlfriend, so the power did the only thing it could "think" of and gave him negation.
Please note that this is MASSIVE speculation, but it is my current pet theory.
Would be funny if the power mimicry being exclusive to girlfriends is because you need to swap some kind of DNA for the one getting copied to count, so Saliva, Cum, etc lolIt seems the most accurate based on how it went down and how the Shadow King reacted. Why only girlfriends, though? Why not Kurt's power?
And why was the Shadow King so interested in Null? There was no way he could have predicted Null's power or the fact that he was even a mutant in the first place, yet he was right there ready to claim Null if not for the immediate intervention of the X-Men, which is one hell of a lucky coincidence.
Again, speculation, but something isn't adding up.
Nah, since you can get them without ever being in a relationship with the girls, it isnt girlfriend locked.Would be funny if the power mimicry being exclusive to girlfriends is because you need to swap some kind of DNA for the one getting copied to count, so Saliva, Cum, etc lol
(I don't actually think that's it tho, just to clarify)
Yeah, it's mutant girl friend power copying, not mutant girlfriend power copying.Nah, since you can get them without ever being in a relationship with the girls, it isnt girlfriend locked.
Maybe his X-gene seeks to activate only from females in some strange reproductive pattern, Null's powers are going around like the bloodhound gang.Yeah, it's mutant girl friend power copying, not mutant girlfriend power copying.
I would say it's weirdly specific, but that's not even in the top ten weird mutant powers in Marvel.
