and what exactly does she have to do with this game?

Are she and other going to be guest characters, or is the commission thing just for fund raising, like if you guys started selling merch?

They're for fund raising. The funds for the art budget are lacking and a good amount of it comes out of Ron's own wallet. They won't appear in the main game, but they'll be released so someone could potentially add them with a mod.

Specifically the assets. Meaning if you've seen all the separated facial expressions and body parts in how we make everything move and function, you'll be able to use individual pieces to frankenstein characters.

This stipulation was done for modders who don't have the $$$ for art commissions.

Here's a question for you: when do we get wearing clothes during sex, like half-undressed and such? I know it's a work in progress, but given how you waste the art budget on piercings and tats I thought I'd ask

0.8c is the upcoming version with massive overhauls. The below post by merleved explains it better that I can. There was also a quick funding raiser for body hair options and explaining why tattoos and piercings were added by Ron Chon on Discord:

"hey fam! brief update: since 0.9a will force me to redo the Live2D model files to accommodate the new stuff we're adding anyways, I figured we'd make one more push to add in some of the items that have received a good amount of community requests and aren't a particularly heavy lift for the artists and minimally increase model complexity these include:
  • customizable lip and eyeshadow coloring (and for the hell of it, eyebrows too cause why not). I'm demoing with some pretty subtle effects but you can imagine making them look as goth/clowny as you want
  • a few more hairstyles that I've been wanting to add for a little bit
  • face piercings
  • tattoos
now, I know that one community request for a while now has been more body hair options - specifically, armpit hair. this requires a little more effort on the art side and is frankly a little niche. so, I want to leave it up to the community. we are opening up a metaphorical tip jar for direct donations: if it reaches $1000, I will work to add armpit hair options to the Ch. 1 and Ch. 2 characters why $1000? 1) to fully cover the direct art costs and 2) to set up the game's funding to be net positive from the whole affair. body hair fans get what they want and the rest of the community gets the benefit of more money plugged into the rest of game development I will keep this post updated with how close we are to the goal. just reach out if you are interested in tipping! if you've been asking for more body hair options, this is your opportunity

It was a massive overhaul for the game's code. Months of work, not a minor tweak. The entire sandbox portion of the interactions was reworked and a lot of it substantially re-written. Non-plot required interactions between Null and the girls will now rarely be the same twice as the new code draws from a massive pool of variables and applies somewhat organically. It not only adds a fresh dynamic to the game, but allows for seamless, extremely easy additional dialogue/interactions to be put in later, either by the devs or by modders.

Further, entire scenes and portions of dialogue in the game itself were added/re-written to accommodate different paths. A great deal of content was added to deepen the experience for those who chose to have a platonic relationship only with one of the LIs and assign full weight to the relationships with or without Quirks.

An entirely new aspect of the sex system was developed and implemented, so that the LIs become more experienced and learn different sexual techniques, etc over time and usage, becoming more proficient with them and entire new dialogue trees to accompany that.

A lot of optimization changes were implemented to smooth Live2D as well, allowing for smoother play, especially on Android.

New soundtracks for several scenes as well.

It's been a huge effort, especially by the coders, and will make future development and modding markedly easier. The next update (0.9) will be fairly art intensive.


That said, as someone in the thread mentioned earlier, the art requirements for the game alone are nearly 5K/month and most of the development costs are funded personally by Ron and a small handful of supporters. Ron doesn't spend much time fundraising or soliciting financial support, but he brought it to public attention recently that roughly 4500 of the Patreon followers don't contribute anything at all. If even a portion of them did, it'd make a huge impact.

If you want new chapters and new characters sooner, please do consider heading over to the game's Patreon and signing up. Even paying a buck a month will shave months off of the development timeline if enough people do it.

Goddamn it, I was kinda annoyed my "perfect save" got broken and grinded out a new one with (full achievements - as in the ones we can get right now, full mutant skill tree + all the useful regular ones, max level, max harem relationship, etc). What can I safely install from this lovely pack without breaking my save yet again, and even more importantly, without breaking it for future updates? I'm not interested in the cheat ones but I do love putting outfits together!

Also, thanks a lot for sharing!
