As for "switch," without confusing it with "vers," people can be dom/mes in one relationship and subs in another, or even flip back and forth within a relationship. That's not the same as being a totally blank doormat that accommodates everyone else at your own personal expense. That'd be having one set of preferences and doing things you hate to keep someone around.
