People think too hard about sub vs dom. Unless it's some bdsm stuff, you don't really need static roles and changing dynamics isn't an issue.
I usually have a Null that encourages dom Jean but will still pound her in the ass doggy from time to time.

She's flat out shot and is revived minutes later through mundane means. Her mental and physical state are horribly and she lost her powers because she was straight up a corpse.
Someone mentioned Dazzler a bit ago but she actually died several times. And it was retconned that every time you saw her get hit with something that would kill a normal human, it did kill her.
You may wonder "How the fuck does photon energy make you immortal?"
The answer is that Dazzler had a second mutation that allows her to convert her physical body into light. So any damaged tissue just gets turned into radiant energy and reformed. The reason we never see it is because... our eyes cannot see a process that's as fast as light.

They were always vague on that, but yeah it's implied that's how her resurrection works.
I don't think they ever had it where even she knew how it worked. She was always like "Yep. Don't know why. I die and come back."

Fucking hell Marvel Jubes did nothing to deserve this shit i remember seeing that she was crucified
that's doing too much she dies every time is wild and the mental state that'd leave her in i couldn't imagine. So if she dies and revives is it instant to the point it you don't realize it or is she unconscious every time she revives herself. It's too confusing could've just made it her photon energy makes her cells more durable and regenerate not constant death and resurrection.
And they forgot it during the Krakoa era.
It was instant to the point where SHE didn't realize it.

Dazzler's resurrective thing always looked like it was building up to something, but, as with a lot of Claremont's plot threads during his various returns, it got sidelined by stupid editorial bullshit and went nowhere. By the time New Excalibur was being published, doing a continuous, uninterrupted story over the course of years - the exact thing you hire Claremont to do in the first place - was basically an impossibility.
You could see it even during the height of the Claremont era where editorial wanted to chop up the continuous storyline he had going, even though those books were the best-selling books Marvel had and numerous other examples of how continuous storylines are the best, consistent sellers.
They are genuinely obsessed with killing their golden goose at the earliest opportunity.
Course, now they've actually succeeded, and we're stuck with the current mess.

The problem is that the devs are wrong.
You're supposed to add more content then the game makes sense supporting, reboot it one or two times after you realized you messed up, and... get called a milker still.
They need to get with the program.
Anyway, the game is F Tier until Ophelia Sarkissian is in.
