Yeah we're not going this route.

We'll have some edge with Null being a positive influence but we're not gonna be like Marvel and have Allison bang half of Hollywood, most of which was non-consensual, and get addicted to three different drugs just to get a big contract that falls through 5 seconds after she's outed as a mutant.
Not gonna lie, I was hoping you were going to say this. Being a member of an X-Men probably comes with enough pain and suffering as it is without adding unneccessary EDGE to the characters to make a point about the entertainment industry.

She actually was going to make it. But...

Believe it or not, not every singer had to be a coked up prostitute in the 80s to make it big.
The timing was also awful. If she were outed as a mutant after she became a gigastar that could fill stadiums singing Ba-Ba-Blacksheep, things would have played out different.
Anyway, she had the talent so it all came down to timing and chance for her success.
But with writers loving misery and wanting metaphors for the entertainment industry, that chance was zero unless she went to Xavier for a better life.
Emma had a similar thing where she could have gone to Xavier, but chose to do things herself and claw her way through a miserable path.

The lesson: always go to the rich bald guy and his school of psycho outcasts. (y)
Too bad Allison didn't know she was going to be used as a not very subtle metaphor for the dark side of show business. Glad to hear that won't be the case in TNH; looks like Null will act as a guiding light in the darkness of her career or something like that.

Considering that Dazzler is mid-00s YouTube famous here, and that is what enabled her to get more reach than her comic counterpart at this time, what gets her into the X-Men here might be significantly more mundane than the misery she experienced in her series.

A simple, sudden ban from TNH's YouTube equivalent and blacklisting from entertainment venues, along with a few false rumors would kill her career dead and leave the X-Men as her only option. Hellfire Club could pull it off easily, considering their reach; hell, they could even freeze her bank account with just one well-placed phone call.

Don't know what the writers have planned, though, and they probably have a different and more thought-through idea than what I came up with.

As times goes by we begin to realize that Null's actual power is him being a psychiatrist to all the most dangerous women in the academy , baldy is scamming the poor idiot by making him do all the hard work and yeah he does get to form his own harem of concubines but by the end of this whole saga he is gonna need his own psychiatrist

Maybe boots can step in as a cameo character to help Null through all the trauma

Null is a Boots self-insert and Rogue is his wife.

Fucking porn game devs and their egocentricity. :sneaky:

"im gonna move to the big city by myself at 18 and with no marketable abilities whatsoever and i for sure am gonna make it big and be a music star!"
But she did make it as a big music star... Very briefly.

Believe it or not, not every singer had to be a coked up prostitute in the 80s to make it big.
Allison sadly did.

The timing was also awful. If she were outed as a mutant after she became a gigastar that could fill stadiums singing Ba-Ba-Blacksheep, things would have played out different.
She was outed the day of getting a good deal which makes Marvel seem downright malicious.

make a point about the entertainment industry.
Oh we will still do that.

Mid 2000s white girls being forced to behave like Disney Princesses is just noticeably different than California's music industry during the 1980s.

Notably less sexual favor requirements and forced cocaine addictions.

But bodily autonomy, being able to be authentic in your beliefs, making your own creative music? Mid 2000s fucking hated that.

Edit: Note that Allison may have hardships, we're not gonna throw her in the pit of misery Marvel did. You can make a statement and not be tacky and cruel.

Does it happen to rhyme with Mull's Benis?
We want to be abundantly clear that Mull's Benis has nothing to do with the girls sorting out their issues and baggage.

yeah he does get to form his own harem of concubines
Technically he may not and the game will recognize this fact.

Null is a Boots self-insert and Rogue is his wife.

I'm a psychologist, not a psychiatrist.

Also my wife is not a sub.

The one constant with Marvel writers regardless of era.

Hmmm.I was debating dating Alison, but the tension between the expectation of being a late 90s-00s inauthentic morally pure princess while being in a poly relationship in her personal life? Drama is too juicy to pass up.

... I swear I'm not a Marvel writer.

Oh for sure, to be clear I'm not expecting smooth and uneventful lives for any of the characters in TNH, I've read enough to glean that from what Buttholder publically says about you whenever he shows you the script; in fact I think it's physically impossible for an X-Men to have such a thing.

I just didn't want Edge or Grimdark/Grimderp added in for its own sake regardless of if it makes sense plotwise, not that I ever seriously thought you guys would do that but it's nice to have verbal confirmation. I'm perfectly fine with "le Sadness" as long as there's a happy ending at the end.

That's a suspiciously specific denial...

I for one am fully ready to be the steady rock for Allison amidst a tumultuous sea of paparazzi, tabloids and the tsunami that a possible Hellfire Club intervention in her budding career will be.
