Idk about it being v1.01 but the game is LITERALLY uncomplete. Author died, maybe that is the version in JP or a special version in CI EN, or a special version from that website that don't align with the actual product version. Yeah someone can probably MTL this but it will be forever an incomplete game. A beta or alpha or some shit.

This is his last post on Ci-EN. Updates about the game, last post is December 2023 almost 2 years at this point. Either he got jailed, found a new job, or the most likely reason is he died. Artists/ indie devs (specially something as NICHE as H games) are all about the passion in making games (sure some devs just make lazy cashgrab games but this dev definitely is not one to just outright abandon his last project without saying a FINAL word).

It's quite like when an artist of your favorite manga dies (a prominent example would be Miura of Berserk). The story can be completed by someone else/ someone with close ties to the original creator but it will never be the same. I'm saying this as a fellow fan of this developer since their games where pretty nice in quality and scenarios.
Tbh, I wouldn't say he died with 100% certainty, he already did a mini-hiatus for like 6 months before, so it won't surprise me if he just quit H-games developpement without saying a word.
I don't think he will ever come back, but I don't think he died either. He probably had enough with H-dev and since we already saw that he CAN just disappear without a word (my theory is that he already planned to leave definitely with his 6 months hiatus, but changed his mind), I think he just did.

Since this game had a separate artist compared to usual they'd probably be the best lead, no? Not saying to harass them but maybe they said something in the last 2 years.

Edit: Wasn't able to find the artist for this game, but the artist for their other never finished game (Henriette) is suroshinobu... Who also hasn't posted since 2023, so what the hell. The entire Clymenia circle just imploded all at once, I guess.

IT IS NOT OVER, I REPEAT, IT IS NOT OVER
All of their games currently are on sale in DLsite too, that could mean he's returning/found his account password back or someone close to him/ part of the team manages it. It could also sadly mean a firesale/ closing of the studio sale. Or the dev/group decided to retire and just put their games on sale occasionally.

Some H game circles/groups/devs delist their games once the dev shuts down, while others keep their games intact (for passive income maybe). One such circle is Eclipse works games who made Ariadne, they shut down after making two games. Such a damn shame since they make QUALITY H Games back then (2010-2015 era). Yet their dlsite is still there and their games posted there (their games also probably goes on sale occasionally).

Going on sale is usually a nice sign that there is still someone in the circle active, but a BETTER or more defining SIGN OF LIFE would be if they have an update on Ci-EN or they got a NEW/old game getting translated (which means new/recent negotiated contracts).

One good thing though is someone affiliated to the dev or the dev himself is still alive to facilitate the sales. Usually sales are up to the dev. I hope he comes back though at LEAST finish his FINALE game and exit the stage if he wants... I still have this thread watched in the hopes that the dev will come back and finish this game lol.

Don't hope post without any evidence. There is no proof that he is returning or that he is alive.

His last post on his CI-En page was on 2023/12/31. If he was working on the game he would have no reason to waste hundreds of yen monthly by not posting a single picture or text. Especially with how many followers his CN page had.

I pray that he is okay and well but he is done with hgames in general. The best bet is he found a proper job and wanted to cut off from his hgames background in case of a background check.

Proper job, eh? This was job as any other - especially in Japan. It's a massive industry. His "hgames background" are massive credentials and portfolio.
All those theories are pointless. Maybe he found a partner, became a dad. Maybe he moved on from doujin work and went corpo or bigger studio. We know shit. There can be thousand reasons.
