At the risk of being that guy, I wonder if something happened IRL. If there's anything I learned from following indie projects online, whether that's novels, games, etc it's that the creators curse is real. Authors and game devs go through terrible things for no real reason, despite decades of peak health prior.

If tomorrow passes and no communication from the dev, then it's definitely a possibility that something happened IRL to the dev. They have been pretty consistent with weekly check-ins, save for last week, but due to the game being almost ready for release, there was a chance that it was just putting the finishing touches on the update. 2 weeks is definitely over the prediction post, which had mentioned the update would be ready the week of November 30th, which has since passed.

I'm not sure, but the dev might be Russian and somewhere around university age ("Prostochel" is "Justadude" in Russian and, unless it's just random numbers, his username ends in 2002 which is pretty similar to how some younger people used to add their birth year to their username, especially during the earlier days of the internet), so the dev might just be busy with University stuff, or something similar, instead of it being connected to the christian calendar (although, who knows).

This honestly make the most sense. Finals is ongoing now. So he may just decide to temporarily drop the project. If your guess is true. He might comeback no later than new year 2026.
