I personally didn't play Vaulinhorn so whatever happened there with the LI I don't care.
If they are the same LI in this game, fine by me, since I don't know them at all and can just pretend Vaulinhorn is an alternate timeline that won't happen. So basically it's not ntr except if I want it to be (I don't) and I can just play it as another good story harem.

The story took place before event of Fate and Life: The Mystery of Vaulinhorn, so everything that happen in the first game doesn't happening in this game, beside all of the choices from Fate and Life: The Mystery of Vaulinhorn are optional and avoidable.

if you want players to get invested in the LI of this game, you need to distance yourself from the previous one because:

1- LI can easily make or break the game, and having the same LI (model) from the first game is a bold choice
2- The majority of harem/romance players will hate the fact that their favorite LI has their future self involved in mmf, group sex, or with another character of the first game.
3- Players will be skeptical after they try the first game and find it focused on NTR/blackmail.

Dev should've either started with fresh characters or atleast could've added avoidable ntr like the original game.
Now he's going to lose patreons/players from both the sides.

Maybe I'm too dumb to understand the idea, but I'm honestly trying to figure it out. If all the events of the first game are erased and it has no effect on the second game, then the first game is essentially unnecessary. What's the point of making a sequel (or prequel, I still don't get it)? It's like if Jackson's Hobbit undid the events of LOTR.
