That makes sense! I've been using AI for little stuff like background art for a while now and while I avoid using it for anything too important it's deffo part of the work.
With a touch of AI you can get something inspired by the original that is not someone else's original image, like this:

Well, tomboy or no, the short hair fit her much better. Not opposed to making her more feminine, but the short hair felt like one of her defining features next to her macabre interests.
That... is Not at all how i remember her looking... guess those 3 or 4 months since I played last were longer than I thought... Either way this is still a downgrade. Especially with the eye & face shape. The downward tilted eyes + makeup combo gives her a very disinterested look which contributes a lot to her personality. New one doesn't display her distaste for her family's bullshit as accurately. Imo.
I get where you're coming from; the new Elodie looks a bit too uguuish, and I liked that she actually had a nose before and the heavy eye shadow really allowed her to stand out amongst the female cast. That being said, I do think her new clothes and hat are an improvement; she is still a member of the aristocracy, after all.
You're right, though I would instruct the model to add more cartoon and animator touches to the image since this game's art style isn't realistic photograph styled
He's done a lot of middle ages style pictures, and some of theme are really famous on reddit and the imageboards. His princess in the strapless dress waving at the crowd is the most prolific picture in the game that Nat used.
