Try waiting for JoeForest (who created a game very similar to this) to move his lazy ass and then complain about lack of updates. :S Took him over a year to update Slut Academy and what was it that we waited so long for? Max 10 minutes of gameplay/reading before yet another rushed ending (exactly like Total Immersion which he actually admitted he rushed to finish). FFS, even though I'm really slow writer I could've done that update in less than 2 weeks, but it took him a year, during which he gladly collected Patreon money.

Now he has 2 or 3 unfinished stories on hentai foundry and instead of finishing those (some of which have been waiting 2 years or more to be updated) he started yet another story (that nobody asked for). His previous posting schedule (not updating, because he updates one story then several months later a different and then againt a different so it takes him more than a year to update a story AT BEST ) was about 3 months for a post, now it's 6 months.

Sorry, I know it's totally unrelated, but I sympathize with you guys over being strungalong by lazy fucks.
Yeah, sometimes I just don't understand some devs. I get that life happens, but some of them I feel are just stringing it along as much as they can. Either way...I somehow still can't help get excited every time I see a new update to this game lol. I only hope this next one has less puzzles and more naked, sweaty sexercise. lol

Keep at it mang, best sex scene is the last. This despite the fact that even the sex is heavily character dynamic driven.

Last scene is kino and will obliterate your penis.

Looks like the next update will be out in a monthish based on my "assessment" of Proxxie's expectation to release ratio.

It's still coming, it still looks good, but the soonest it could be out is a week and a half and the longest it might be is a month.

The last two patreon updates clarified some stuff related to this timeline, teased some scene info, and there was some hubbub about dicksize where Proxxie eventually landed on keeping Ana's dick big as opposed to shrinking it.

The only two tells we have for release time are what I mentioned before, which is that Proxxie said he will have the update out "Way" before the 15th of May, and him in the most recent update saying approximately this on April 13th:

"The art for the release is done, over the next week I plan to complete the quest that opens the new H-scene hub. After that I will start finishing nightclub conversations and finish the remainder of plot related quests."

So as for time constraint mentioned tasks he expects to have the h scene quest done by the 20th, and then night club conversations and plot quests start after. Night club convos might be short, I can't imagine a day of hard work couldn't finish up some dialogue in one room. As for plot quests, its up in the air. I have no idea what they consist of and therefore I have no clean idea of their duration or complexity. He promised multiple times to not make bomb-dungeon level quests ever again, but who knows. I'd say the optimistic estimate is the 28th, and the "worthy of increasing ire" estimate is the 10th of May.

It's starting to get pretty rough out there. I hope you're all doing okay! Looks like Italy, Spain and New York/New Jersey are all getting hit pretty hard right now, so I especially hope folks in those places are safe. On to lighter matters, I finished postwork on the renders for 0.9's second H-scene, and I've included an image from the set for your viewing pleasure :) I ended up having to go back and rerender a few once I saw how they turned out; I played a lot with Alex's expression in this one, and while I'm still not entirely happy with it, it's a lot better than it was before. I'm in the middle of writing the actual H-scene for it now.
Up next on my list is writing the dialogue and such for the first H-scene; I went back and looked at the images for it in preparation, and I have issues with some of them. I don't expect fixing them will take very long; most of the ones I have a problem with can be fixed by doing the postwork a bit differently. The bigger (heh) issue is that Ana's dong is just too large in some of them. To illustrate, here's an image I've posted before, the first image from the first scene:

As some of you noted before, that's bordering on ridiculously large. I'd always wanted her dong to be big, but I think it should still be somewhere in the realm of human possibility. This isn't, really. In this particular shot, I wanted it to be peeking out from under the skirt. I think I can still do this with a slightly smaller dong if I make the skirt shorter (which actually dovetails nicely with the lead-up to this event in game.) Not only does having the dong too big look silly in itself, it also forces me to make any orifices it goes into similarly large. As you can imagine, it gets out of hand (heh) pretty quickly! For the ones I need to re-render, it'll just involve minor tweaks rather than redoing the whole image from scratch. So don't worry, it won't take that long!

In other news, I also finished the character project I mentioned before and now feel I know the Bunnies well enough to write them in a more interesting way and weave in threads from the overall plot. This project was important, but I can't tell you exactly why without giving away more of the plot than I want to at this point. So stay tuned!

Next week I plan to be finished writing the H-scenes themselves, be done with the 1st H-scene rework, and then I can get to work finishing up the remaining quests. Stay safe out there, and thank you for your support!

I hope the team is all alright, so that we can hopefully get to see some more sexy and naughty scenes :3

I don't want to have this subforum devolve into just a back and forth between two jaded fans, but I will say that despite his newly consistent biweekly update schedule, Proxxie made no Patreon post on the 27th.

This could either be the sign of a problematic hangup, or him preparing the test-client release and wanting a few days to make everything polished.

Pick your optimistic or pessimistic poison. Either way his behavior has changed.

Newest post is a status report. Long story short he is halfway done quests and has some goofs/skits he wants to slide in as a manner of course. We have at least a week left it looks like... This after waiting a year.

The update at least looks properly big, but I don't think anything other than literally double the current games' content would make me comfortable with this wait time, and if so I'd want that in pieces like a normal human being.

Anyone crossing their fingers should uncross them unfortunately. Though anyone who is still here waiting likely has quite the strong spirit at this point.

I'd hoped that even if done sporadically the massive time frame between these updates was spent in a way that if/when he came back we'd be able to expect the update in a month or so, but apparently I was wrong.

I hope there are more renders and less canned graphics.
I think to date the game has less than 400 images.

Keep in mind people that Proxxie is planning on having us go through MULTIPLE worlds, not just the fake wow one. He's been working on this one world for a bit over 2.5 years now, and is nowhere near finished with it.

Can't wait for the full release to come out in 2050.

Honestly the way this is going this is destined to be an abandoned game unless the dev gets serious or find someone to help him.
My suggestions is drop the mini-game stuff and turn this into more of a VN.

Meh, the gameplay was never the strong suit of this game. The main things that were carrying the game for me came from the writing and the decent art (I dig the heavily stylized cartoony models, but let's not pretend they are super high-end art). For the writing, the budding relationship between Ana and Alex was great, the writing was funny, and the story had this very fun feeling of progression.

The gameplay was always a bit of a slog, I personally don't mind RPGmaker fetch quests and simple minigames being used as a bit of filler as long as they build up to something worthwhile, which this game frequently did since they pretty often delivered great humorous situations and they never overstayed their welcome. The thing that absolute KILLS any fun from the first 2 hours of gameplay is that the combat is just terribly balanced, you have to fight damage sponges that have non-threatening attacks with 2 characters that have low damage and 1 spell each. It is just a complete drag.

Honestly what sucks about the development of this game over the last year is that the dev decided to stagnate 2 of the things that were great about the writing: The relationship with Ana and the sense of progression. Apparently there's nothing else to be said about Ana and Alex fucking in the digital world in role-reversed avatar bodies, it is just a thing they do and doesn't add anything to them as people or to their relationship. And the fun of being on the road, learning new lore, finding new people and new places, all of that is gone and now we're stuck going from meaningless dungeon to meaningless dungeon, living in the same boring city seeing the same boring people, just bidding the time until the dev decides we can finally get the mcguffin and continue the story. At least the humor is still solid, although it has started doing some bad flanderization of the characters here and there.

Of course that contributing to that sense of stagnation is the fact that the game barely ever updates, and the updates are not long. I'm fine with the dev being a coding enthusiast and wanting to learn how to do all kinds of stuff all by himself, but goodness gracious, a convoluted gimmick that will only be used for one dungeon and then forgotten about is not what anyone wanted for the gameplay. This is not goddamn mario party, those things he insist on trying to do are not benefiting the product at all, because this is still an RPGmaker game, and the meat of the gameplay is still the combat, and the combat still kind of sucks. The new spells and party members are good to add a bit more complexity, but I just don't understand why this dev seems to like damage-sponge combat so much. If I learned how an enemy works, and figured out a strategy that lets my team beat it, why do you force me to do it like 4 times before the enemy actually dies, and why do I have to fight this same enemy over and over. The dev keeps diving into technically complex solutions for what he thinks will make RPGmaker gameplay fun, but he doesn't need more gimmicks, he just needs better design. Stop trying to make the game be good in SPITE of being an RPGmaker game and make it good FOR being an RPGmaker game, design to the strengths of the engine.

Sorry for the rant but I figure there's not much more to do in threads for games like this. I really got invested in this game and I just wish it would accept what made it good and run with it.
