Only way that ever happens is if he (the dev in real life) makes enough money to get an assistant or a team to help him deal with all the threads in the game. That way he can prune some things while keeping general story consistency. And output enough content that people won't miss a huge chunk of it. Otherwise, be ready to skip any forced sex scenes with the girls down there.
I have absolutely zero insight, but my guess would be that he starts Chapter 2 with what he feels are "canon" choices and just builds from that point on. Trying to incorporate all of the myriad possibilities that were given into a new game would be extremely challenging. Perhaps he'll start the game with a few big choices where the player can pick one particular path to build from.
That would suck. When a dev makes a part 2 that just ignores players' previous choices it's 100% bullshit.

I hope that they both are! But we'll see what we get. A strong technical foundation has to be the start, so the game actually works and can be built up.
lets hope you can load the save from eps 1 and the factors you load affect how the next chapter works out
