Maybe his subscribers asked for videos with Mai (Shinarui), and since he doesn't know her too well, he looked on the net and came across Mei (by mistake)...
He said to himself that they had shitty tastes, but hey, since they want that, he did it :oops:
The crazy thing is that he still manages to do a good job with such a bad character (this is just my opinion on this character, some may like her ...)

I agree. I check back here every few months and each time I find myself thinking "He's still working on Mei's Corruption?". I loved all his previous work but don't like like any of his Mei content and I swear he has been working on just Mei's Corruption for years.

I actually went and checked.

    . That's from January 2023, 2.5 years ago. He's been working on this for two and a half years and he's still not done. (I'm not subscribed so it's all blurred, but I think that's Mei. If that's not it, the one 2 posts after it from February 2023 is.)
  • And before that, he worked on Mei's Invasion and The Awakening Part 2. He started on Mei's Invasion sometime back in October 2021 and finished it in December 2021.
He has only done 1 video not featuring Mei since October 2021. That's almost 4 years ago. He's not The Rope Dude anymore, he's The Mei Dude.

I'm not sure how long the Mei's Corruption video is so far, but it had better be long. 2.5 years for one video is worse than Wildeer and he's almost more famous for his lack of speed and excuses than he is his Lara animations anymore. Compare The Rope Dude's current release cadence to 2021 where

It'd be better if you point this out to him over at his Subscribestar or x.com than here. Maybe the folks that are members would listen and agree with you.

I happen to like hid version of Mei. Maybe not everyone like her but it falls under a Daphne/Velma kind of thing. Just because you don't like her it doesn't mean noone likes her.

He just posted on twitter yesterday.

Mei's Corruption is coming out in October and he releases new WIP videos every 2 weeks. His animation quality has increased.
