Wow. I really didn't want to answer to you.
I tried anyway not to lower myself to this level but unfortunately this last comment was stronger than me.
Let's start at the beginning, I have no idea where you get that I'm trying to be "pretentious" in my writing? From where you get that? I said from day one that this is my first game, that I don't have any background in this form of art and I'm trying to learn. But I would love to see some of your work, maybe some of your awards? I'm sure that you have a lot of experience as a writer and a novelist and of course a visual artist, so PLEASE let me know where to find all your excellent and admire work so I can learn from my mistakes.
Second, you are really comparing me, as I said, a first timer with someone like Dr. Pink Cake? It's the same idiotic mentality as comparing a AAA game with the first attempt of a one person indie game. Dr. Pink has more than 14k Patreons, even someone like you has to be able to see the difference in money that he makes against me. It's not hard to be able to afford extra help when you are doing 100k a month, I, on the other hand, am barely scratching the $200, and that's not counting the people who are going to leave before the end of the month. Yes, please, make the logic assumption that we are on the same level, please do it.
Last, I really don't care about any apologies, specially from someone like you. I can't see the future either, and maybe you are right, I will abandon the game at some point. If people really don't care about it, if they don't enjoy it, if all I get from it is sad comments like yours, yes, you will be right. The only thing that I do know is that I'm trying my best, with the skills I have and with the support I have.
No one is forcing you to play it, not one is even forcing you to make this posts or waste your time here. The worst thing about making something for free is having to put up with people like you.
Say anything you want, I'm done with you and I really hope that everyone else here thinks in the same way and stop wasting their time. I, from my part, can't care less about this anymore.
I will keep trying to make my game for the people who enjoy it, for as long as I can.
I am sorry you feel that way. I wrote my comments exactly because it is your first game. Neither Mortze nor dr. Pink Cake started with overambitious projects. And it took them years to get where they are. I posted my impression of the state the game is now. Exactly because I am aware of the effort and skills involved in such a project - I expressed worries for its future. Now when I read my comments again they sounds harsher than I wanted. All I want to say is you can't jump stages. You may need to scale the updates into more finished looking states.

peace

While I understand the point you're making, and it some contexts it has merit. Would you like to explain to your mother, while showing her examples of each, the difference between an Adult Visual Novel and a porn game?

This is kind of like the supreme court decision on pornography. Or perhaps, back in the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and people bought Playboy for the articles. Some of which were quite excellent, but...

Eye of the beholder and individual expectations. Porn or art? It's all subjective and one opinion is as valid as another.
Mostly the ones that use Unity, Unreal, or RPGM can be called porn games. Ren'Py are mostly adult visual novels

Huh! Never made that connection before. I don't play VN's on any of those platforms so wonder why that is, is Renpy easier to make stories in?

Hello,
Are you playing the windows version?
Do you have any other addon installed? (like walkthrough or translation?)
NOPY links are the only ones that are not mine, F95's crew put them, I'm sure there are the same as mine, but if you could please download the game again from another server would be great.

Like the game less the render (some seem little blurry (at the start)), good luck to continue ;)

VN's and KN's even more so are the easiest to make, especially in Ren'Py that already has a built-in configuration screen and a stable save slot system. Your granny would probably be able to write one in Ren'Py.
That is why most beginners with limited or non-existent coding skills are starting with a VN in Ren'Py. And this is why the largest number of abandoned games are written in Ren'Py, too.

Even small freeroam elements need more coding skills, anything resembling a sandbox even more.

Yeah. Ren'Py is pretty much designed to support VNs. However, granny would need some coding skills, or at least the thought processes to learn them to create a VN. Given the need for imagery and, these days, animations creating even a simple VN is a daunting task for a single developer.

Your comment about free roam and sandboxes is 110% on point. Which is why so many VNs either die or become bug infested disasters when, even experienced, developers decide to incorporate these aspects into a VN, which maybe the cross over into a game.

I read some of the reviews and the last few pages on this forum (a long flame war) and didn't see an answer. How much content is there in the current version? Roughly how many hours of gameplay? I don't like to play games until they have a decent amount of content. I usually put them off until they do.

Hi Spectre,
If you are going to read the texts and not just jump ahead, I think you have around 3.5 or 4 hours...
Of course it will depend on how fast you read and the decisions you make.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, thank you! I left a detailed review that I hope you feel is fair.

I look forward to future content! Keep up the great work!
