But he's not physically dominating her. She is submitting to him voluntarily. She could kick his ass to kingdom come if she chose to. I don't think that's even a question.
Uhh, it'd totally be a question.
Being a guy gives you such an overwhelming advantage in physical power that it is completely unfair.
Which is why all physically competitive sports have a male/female split and all men's world records are "better" than women's.
I mean, men are a baseline 60% stronger than women in the upper body and 30% lower body.
Add an increased mass of like 20-30%, longer reach and denser/harder bones and it just gets silly.
Men have an overwhelming advantage when it comes to physical power.
-
In other words, if blue hair had her physical strength and devil child's combat ability she'd almost certainly win.
But, with only one or the other then blue or devil would probably lose.
-
This is against the PC, who is a tall, young and physically fit man.
He can only lose if he chooses to lose.
So either, "I don't want to hurt her so I'll take it" or "this is where I feel I should be, under her heel".

This science brought to you by the 1960's and sexism!

That's assuming neither has trained.

Both women are trained physically and in martial arts while the MC isn't and not amount of mass advntage is going to have an untrained, lazy slob beat anyone that has any form of training.

Those stats are on average not on the whole.

There are plenty of women athletes, fighters and those that train on the regular that will surpass the average man.

The strength percentages I mentioned, yes, are for average man vs average woman - hence my use of the word baseline.
But, my point is that blue with all her training may then equal an average man in strength (may only because bone structure still gives the man the advantage).
And, the PC is not an average man. We can see his body, he appears stronger than the average man.
Therefore, given his height and weight (more than the girls) combined with his higher than average male strength...
I'm not saying that he'd win 100% of scuffles between them but it'd be at least 60/40 in his favour and probably higher.

Both women are trained physically and in martial arts while the MC isn't ... lazy slob beat anyone that has any form of training.
Yes, he is. Physically trained I mean, not combat. I don't care that the story doesn't mention it, I have eyes in my face. I can see that he is strong. Men don't get to look like he does by sitting on their arse all day eating Cheetos.
I don't recall any mention of blue being combat trained, I don't really recall any mention of why she appears so strong at all actually. We can just assume that she works out a lot, we see her do yoga.
Devil is described as a trained fighter but she's tiny.

Yes, mass advantage plays an absolutely enormous role in fights. Why do you think combat sports are entirely based around weight classes?
But as tiny as devil is and as the PC is stronger and fitter than the average man I just cannot see how she'd beat him.
120lb devil vs 180lb athletic dude, I don't see how she wins.
Absolutely a woman can beat a man. I cannot however, see this woman beating this man.

No, they're pretty bloody accurate and in most school sports-science text books.
I mean, google it for crying out loud. Jesus.
It would be wise of you to do the same and actually try reading it.

Your numbers are so drastically off that it's not even funny.

You are right in general, there is no disputing it. The strongest women will never be as strong as the strongest man, genetics doesn't lie.

That said, anyone with training will always beat anyone without.

The MC here is a lazy untrained slob while both Aiko and Mel are trained and in far, far better physical shape.

The MC would be naturally stronger if both girls had never trained however they left him behind.

Quoting from what you linked,
The women were approximately 52% and 66% as strong as the men in the upper and lower body respectively.
I said men are 60% stronger in upper and 30% lower.
This says 48% and 24%.
Those are pretty close and within an expected deviation for this type of study.

No. Your numbers were drastically off by every measure of science.
60% vs 48%; 30% vs 24% those are pretty dang significant differences.

Thus hyperbolic.

This, unfortunately, is not true.
An expertly trained person can mitigate a lot of disadvantages but not all.
Devil isn't described as an International level MMA fighter or anything, she simply has been trained to fight locally.
She knows more than your average person certainly but not enough, imo, to offset such a huge physical disadvantage.

You aren't getting it.
I know he is described as a lazy slob.
But
look
at
him.
He isn't a slob, the dude is fucking ripped. His shoulders are broad with defined muscle as are his arms and he has a defined and pronounced six pack. His legs also are thick and sturdy. There is not an ounce of fat to be seen on him, he is not at all skinny or malnourished looking.
He cannot look like this unless he trains hard.
Again, I don't care what the story says - what the story shows me is something else.
If you want me to believe that the PC is a lazy slob, show me a lazy slob. Don't show me a very strong and fit looking guy.

They're not in "far far better shape".
Aiko is equivalent.
Mel is certainly in better comparative shape, meaning that she might be as strong as him (but probably not).

No, they're not for this type of study. +/-10% variance for these values would absolutely be expected when extrapolating out to gen pop.
I will accept that it looks like I remembered the upper body bit wrongly, that women are 50-60% as strong as men rather than, as I stated, men are 60% stronger.
-
However, this doesn't contradict anything I've said! Men are just very slightly less overwhelmingly physically powerful than I stated. You have basically proved my point.

I'm with Ava on this one. One doesn't need to be an international level MMA fighter to outclass anyone without training. In most cases not even basic moves may be countered by brute strength alone. Take boxing for instance: if your guard isn't where it's supposed to be you're going down no matter what. Most martial arts teach moves that will block, hinder and then counter the opponent in one fluid motion. If you're not trained to break their flow these moves will connect. In most real world fights it's about successfully landing the first blow. Having any sort of training significantly raises the odds of doing just that.

I mean, what's you point here?
You show me a video of a woman that looks stronger than either of the two women in this game fighting against a man that looks weaker than the PC of this game. They also look to be of equal weight in your vid, whereas in the game the PC looks heavier than them.
I've already stated the obvious, that a woman can beat a man.
My problem is that I do not believe the women in this game could beat the PC of this game.

Learn to math, man. If women are 52% as strong as men the men aren't 48% stronger, they're 92% stronger. If they're 66% as strong the men are 51% stronger, not 24%.
But while he's undoubtedly stronger than even Melissa, let alone Aiko, if he doesn't know how to fight he's not going to be dominating them physically unless they let him. Working out in a gym does not teach you that.

Yeah, I knew as I was typing it just felt wrong but it's been years since I've done maths and I couldn't work out how I was wrong in the few minutes that I took to reply.
So I undersold how much stronger men were than women, good to know. And thanks.
