Hate to burst yours, but California is dry as a bone, there is no "Hidden" water under the mountains of California, the state is in a serious drought, its so bad the government are putting caps in place. So it isn't about profit because the water companies cannot profit over water they cannot sell. Effective this summer, anyone who goes over their weekly usage can be shut off. Now if you're referring to other states, you'd be correct, Florida has a lot of water that is "hidden" in a manner of speaking, they can still get to the water via wells, its running under their feet for the most part, and i believe Nebraska has some tucked away water, but that doesn't benefit California whatsooever, and I don't give a damn about how much "hidden" water is in other states, I worry about California. And I did do my own research, the lakes and streams that were full just 5 years ago, dry as a bone now, even Lake Arrowhead, the lake is a joke now. We need rain.. simple as that.
