UPDATE Sep 12 2020 - I removed some of my older posts for expansion room on "page one". I would like to try to keep this section neat and organized. If you find the content to be useful to you, please drop a "LIKE" instead of making a new 'thank you' post. It is very easy for stuff to get buried in a forum and the goal is to make this information EASILY ACCESSIBLE to newcomers.

If you have a tutorial to share which would solve any issue that has not been covered on this page, you are welcome to post it here. I will review and link submissions to the OP where appropriate.

Fix Default Replacement Skins

The October 6th patch has broken ALL Default Replacement skins. Skin Details and skin tones (like

’s bare skintones) are unaffected. Onto the tutorial.

(scroll down to assets, click S4pe_V0.5.5-beta.7z) Unzip it (I use WinRAR, and double click the exe file.
Click file>open, locate your skin and hit open. On each instance of RLE2, double click, double click again.

Paste in JUST 0x2BC04EDF. Hit OK. When you’ve replaced each instance, (it took me about 3 minutes with copy/paste).

When you’re done, hit SAVE AS, and rename it something like CreatorNameSkinNameFIXED. Remove your old skin from your Mods folder, pop your new one in your Mods folder and you’re good to go!

At the time I posted the Tutorial, people had not figured out that S4S could be used. I myself favor using Sims 4 over S4PE, it way much simpler. Thanks for the alternative.
