No, you don't need to connect to Origin. If you're using a pirated version of a game, why would you connect to the company you're circumventing? The reason it wants to connect it's because you didn't apply the crack.
extreme violence mod made mine crash...i deleted it and it worked fine...I was told they updated but mine still crashe with the update...works for me without it
