If you miss even a single step, you won't be able to continue. The progress in this game is extremely linear.

Played this ages ago long before it was finished. As I recall you could let the other kid (Billy?) do stuff with the mother, i.e. sharing but I don't think the mother was aware of it.
How much of that is there in the finished game? Does any of it go outside sharing, i.e. Billy and the ladies doing things outside your control. In other words, is there any proper netorare and in that case how much?

She becomes very much aware of it later on. But anything that happens IIRC, happens with explicit permission and participation from the MC. Nothing happening outside his control.

There are two instances of Janice dating MCs without asking. When MC gets sick and decides not to go to school to write a math test. Then After Billy's call, Janice leaves the sick MC and goes on a date with Billy.
And the second incident is when Jason stays the night with Billy's mom in his parents' bedroom. Janice returns after her date with Billy*(she had previously notified her business with Billy by phone).

How BAD is the performance now? Is it playable on 7 yr old mid-range computer, or you need a modern beefy one? I recall the performance got worse as the game got new updates. And I couldn't withstand it anymore a few years ago.

If you play it from a SSD the load times are bearable. And you don´t need a high end GPU. Worked fine on my last machine with a core I5 6600k and a GTX1660TI

I played this game with a AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb ram and a nvidia with 2gb of ram, in 1080.

Bad idea. Assembly-CSharp from v0.52.1 & 0.52.2 are NOT identical.
Better use a proper fix.

I started it 10 times and immediately deleted it, it's impossible to tolerate transitions of 5+ seconds. SSD doesn't help

I play in ULTRA and it runs perfect and the transitions with the cheats are about 2-3 seconds for locations in the map and 1 second for changing rooms in a bulding and instant when you pass the time... so i think it is pretty good...
I believe that the worst thing is that without a walkthrought It's really impossible to play the game.... but if you follow the walkthrough is a really great game...
