Are you doing well with the latest version?
I lost most of the toys in the game, and when I press Esc I get a message saying something about the version of the game.

It looks like znel dropped a demo build for the forum. Has anyone tried it yet?
I have. It loads characters made in V40 no problem, and the new penis types/sizes is an interesting change of pace. Loading a new model is much faster too and no freezing when switching models. Significantly fewer bugs too. Otherwise its just a much more polished V40.

..some seem to have joined this thread just for that
yeah, im ignoring those. if they can dm me that means they have been verified not a bot account to some extent. Or not one of znel's goons trying to make us pay for a very slow to update unfinished very mid game

Neither did anyone else for yours.

That's their problem lol. Windows 11 has improved a lot since its release.
I actually provided a response, you know - on a forum where people discuss things. You came in a called a bunch of people suckers for paying for something. Are you 12?

I'm using Windows 11, and I still use paid software for AV protection as a requirement for my work. So... Whatever, you do you.

Have not tried Kaspersky. I tend to avoid the Old-School ones as they just haven't kept up with the times. Like Norton AV or McAfee. Great AVs in the 90s and early 2000s, but not so much anymore.

Well I've yet to encounter a python-based intrusion, mostly because I run AdBlockPlus everywhere. The last three major viruses that infected my machine, came from auto-playing video ads; two from YouTube and one from NexusMods, surprisingly. Thing is these services use unencrypted ads (to save on bandwidth and load times), which don't have the virus, but a virus maker could hack their virus into it as its not encrypted.

Avast does seem to not like .dlls, in general. All the games it had issues with had .dlls. Its a decent AV if you want something free and aren't playing many video games or don't care about whitelisting the ones that do present issues.

How goes Call of Beyond? Was a bit disappointed that V0.6 didn't have any GhostFrontier to do (even if it was janky in V0.5)
I mean, I use Kaspersky paid - but I like it - it's pretty decent at protection and spans across numerous machines throughout my home.

As for Python - yeah, there are now scripts which will silently install datascrapers on your machine, which then transmit all text documents, images and so on to a remote server all without your knowledge - I found one trying to install itself on a VM I was thankfully running "the newest version of Helius" which, was obviously a dud and wanted to just see how infested it was. Had never encountered a Python intrusion until then. Funnily enough, Kaspersky was the only one that passed the test in scanning the zip file, and found it with ease. Even blocking it when it attempted to run itself.

As for COB, yeah it's looking good - the team had some issues as of recently due to the war obviously, having to move due to the bombardments getting closer - but they're back on track and 0.7 is being worked on as we speak ;-)

You should pop back into the Discord, you are always welcome ;-)

Yeah I use TotalAV paid, and I like it. Pricy AF, but I like it.

I'm assuming those Python ones are written in Python 3, as I don't think Python 2 was powerful enough to do it.

I have heard of data scrappers before, but not as a virus, but as DRM. There is one DRM out there that installs into your kernel, then uploads all your files to their data center to analyze (without your consent) and tries to see if you have any cracks or bots or cheats on your machine. Its super intrusive and I hear its super hard to remove it after uninstalling the game. I found a couple like that on Steam Next Fest and I refuse to install them, even if the game looks cool.

As for Discord, yeah I'm sorry for what blew up there. However, I don't use Discord much anymore, except for work, and so I've purged myself from most Discords. I used to have 20 I visited regularly, now I have 3.

I prefer paid AV's to be honest, feels like I'm supporting - I do the same with games. I pirate the fuck out of a game and if it's good, I'll buy it or whatever when I get paid next. If it's shit, I've lost no money and the developer hasn't ripped me. It's a win-win in my book. My thinking is, they were either getting the money if the product is good - or not if the product is shite. Too tired of products from triple-A studios being absolute wank and then we're not entitled to refunds just because it's "digital media" which, in theory actually is a lot easier to return than anything else on earth.

With regards to the Python scrapers, it runs a script pulled from a Github fork, it's usually listed like a name like "microsoft-tools-29" or something like that. Then it silently installs an actual .exe application, disguised as tools for Windows (usually named something similar) and it will then just transmit your data to some remote IP address, usually out in Thailand or China, somewhere like that. A week or so goes by and you're getting tons of login attempts on your email notified by Google, iCloud etc.

As for Discord, no problems - nothing to be sorry for ;-) if you do find yourself stumbling in at any rate, you're always welcome ;-)

Yeah Python scripts are really scary with what they can do. Honestly a lot of people are letting PC security go to the wayside. It reminds me of people ignoring the Valorant's anti-cheat having security concerns.
