Kenomo updates a page when someone with patreon access uploads their data to the site.
That's why this issue was unique to this game.

it is a pity that it is not possible to use both hand 2 3 4. and penis 5. in the desktop version. Or is there?

Does anyone have an update if the Patreon version with the delayed "kemono injector" blue screen is indeed nefarious or just an anti-piracy troll? It would be awesome if someone could run it in a VM and post their results!

My PC (well, Firefox) flagged the v44.1 download (from the Vikingfile link on the 1st post) as containing malware, so I deleted it without running anything. It might be a false positive, but reading the recent posts on this thread has made me paranoid.

I haven't played since v41 around 6 months ago so I'm excited to try out the new stuff but I don't want to risk running these latest versions with the dev's anti-piracy shenanigans and malware.

After what this dev aparently did, and past virus scares we got on this site, it would be fair to maybe pin a message on this thread warning people about downloading from random links in this thread and of the fact that the game dev is happy to drop links with malware for download.

I'd definitely like to Triage it, but the service doesn't seem to be publicly usable anymore. I think it was too large to be done for free, anyway. Without it, though, I don't know of any good ways to run and fully monitor it.

In case anyone wants to try, su/patreon/user/3708137/post/123807188/revision/11190000 is the one with the blue screen. It has a shortener from the game's webpage (thevillainsimulator(dot)com) so it makes the theory of a scarecrow more plausible.

The recent version from kemono got characters turning to bobbleheads. Pretty funny, but I quickly deleted the files and did a quick scan to prevent any other things happening to my pc. Is the one here safe?

I was coming back to do an update on the game. Pretty damn grossed out to see a dev implimenting MalWare into a game to afflict leaked links. To hell with us using a Pirate source to gather games, it isn't like we are using botNets to infect their servers? I digress <

I am looking to get update 43 - I would go with the latest but I am seeing numerus reports about it having issues. Was hoping someone could provide a back log version of the game? Also, has anyone tried to run this in a VM environment to see what's going on? Not sure about the savviness of the readers here, but I see some talk about IT so was curious if anyone has tried.

Update: my discord DID get hacked. I got the blue screen WEEKS ago. Today, someone bought 3 Nitro Basic gifts with my linked card and sent random friend requests. I have 2FA enabled, AND changed the password immediately after the blue screen, so I don't know exactly how that happened. If any technical wizards can explain this, for my security, please do. I DID change my email AND my password after today, so I might be okay?? Not too sure. Anyway, I am sure it's genuine malware.

edit: getting log ins from New York. Dev is from New York. See the correlation?

I downloaded V44 from the files on this site not the kemono one and used it before I heard of this malware spread. The version from here seems to work fine I even imported and exported some characters and I got nothing. I also put the game folder through Malwarebytes and Windows Defender and both came back clean.
