Okay, not sure if I should post it here since the tag is already marked as abandoned (if someone knows let me know, I could start another thread for the public release)
I just wanted to add it here (I can see a lot of people still playing the old version, so if you want to start, wait a bit, the public release will be done in 2 weeks, all the details below will be the same. If I do not get enough feedback from the early release players, I'll probably ask for interested players who want to test the game, so if you're interested, just comment bellow and I'll check it out if needed.
The void club 2.0:
It took a long time but I was able to transfer the code into renpy, making it more stable and way smoother.
So what have changed: The gameplay of course, after the kind of mess that was the previous big update (a not very well planned team decision) I decided to aim at a middle ground between the first version that was pretty simple and the second version that was way too demanding. It is still based on managing a club and some parts might need tuning or adaptation (I'll probably require players feedback for that, so feel free to give me your *
constructive* feedback and I'll try to balance what I feel is right)
The story and dialogue: Some parts started to aim everywhere and didn't fit with the story, so I decided to redirect the main story. it is still going into the same direction, just changing some details and using different gameplay. For now only the first part was re-written, so part 2-4 are not accessible yet, other small events are also blocked due to that, I want to use some concept differently. I also want to cut in the large dialogues and text that are sometimes really heavy and long, so that will be done in time.
The UI was also changed a lot, renpy allow to be way more flexible so a lot of buttons and visual are more intuitive (but I hope you'll let me know if you feel something is wrong so i can make some adjustment, everything seems clear for the creator, but in the hands of the user, that's something else)
Anyway, re-working with the codes made me see a lot of stuff that could be improved and a lot of concept that would be nice to add. Of course, since this is a project mainly done by one person, everything can take a lot of time, but hopefully the biggest part is done.
---!!! Keep in mind this has been tested in the limit of my powers, I cannot emulate the play-thought of thousands of players, so you will probably find bugs, you can report them to me and I'll try to fix them as soon as possible, and with the same system as for LM, now you won't have to download the full game, only the script file (unless it's a visual bug)
