Hint is in the title you say...it's a VISUAL novel..not a NOVEL with visuals...semantics right?
I don't mind the text, as long as it's integral to the story and kinda realistic..
NO normal human being has hundreds of lines of dialogue with eachother on every casual interaction...unless you're talking to a therapist...

there is a comics section and an animations section on this site which are both better suited to your obvious taste, although neither can be considered as having 'realistic' content, but definitely less novel and more visual

All these girls lining up for the MC damn I'm trying to pursue them all but I have a feeling that may backfire on me but right now I'm most intent on getting Maria hopefully she sees sense after the little talk with the MC and leaves her cheating boyfriend. well book novels usually do have some accompanying pictures in between chapters, so by that logic they should be classified as visual novels too? At what ratio of pictures to words do they cross the boundary from books to "visual novels"? Are we reading too much into it? I think we are..
My point is(and i hold no animosity for this game) that for me when a game has an overwhelming amount of text over a relatively small amount of visuals, i'd rather stay away from it, UNLESS the dialogue is captivating, or enhances the visual experience.
I've played tons of heavy story games in this forum, and they're much more interesting than the "engrish-porn-slideshows" that popup every day here.
But i repeat, it's quality of dialogue that keeps the story going not quantity. And quality depends on realism. Yes, realism that reflects real life interactions between men and women. That's the whole point of "reading" a romantic novel isn't it? You wouldn't read/play a story that revolves around 15000 lines of incoherent drivel between people, cause it wouldn't be a story.

And the arguement that fantasy can't be realistic is at least silly.
Take Game of thrones or Lord of the Rings. Both fantasy bestseller novels with realistic dialogue/interactions between characters. Did that take away from the fantasy immersion? Not at all, infact it's what made them stand out from the rest of the competition.

There's a middle ground between reading a romantic novel and watching a porn slideshow, and that's what the best adult games achieve through their medium.

Also i find the reaction to any criticism of anyone's work on this forum Hillarious..too much mindless fanboyism can't be good for any developer's work..the triggering is off the charts..

I have decided for myself that I will do my job, whether it will end up successful or not, but I will finish this game. Because of this forum, I have changed the plot - several times, the visual part, navigation, and much more. I listen to useful suggestions, but you won't please everyone. Some players said - the game has turned into a sexfest, before these posts there were posts that the game has very littleX content.
About 3000 lines in the last update, I decided to try an experiment with a variation of dialogs. So each answer had a different effect on the dialog. In the game, you would not have to read tons of text without any dynamics... You should have checked the update first, and then you should have talked about 3000 lines... Whatever it was... I'm not the best writer and I've never talked about it, moreover English is not my native language, but I try to improve my writing skills.

As i said, i have no animosity for your game, and i DID in fact play the last update before commenting(the B path currently which is what i've focused the most), so your criticism is a little misplaced.
My comment on the large amount of text was not exclusively for your game, it was meant as a general critique of a trend in adult games(in F95), it just happened that i read the changelog of yours and i had to post somewhere.
I won't repeat myself on what my idea of text/picture balance is, i enjoy good stories, and "The Way" is not a bad one. Else i wouldn't even be in this thread.
But not all criticism is bad, and i'm sure you get a lot from your patrons as well. If you close your eyes/ears to it how will you improve on your work? Had i posted my comment on your patreon instead of here, would you have a different reaction to it?
I'm not a native english speaker as well(i'm Greek), so i don't expect perfect english from non-native developers.
You can get your message/story across without tons of text, and that was my whole original point.

I'm happy to tell you that I had a couple of days off from the release. And now I've put all my energy into working on the next update. Initially I wanted to start releasing updates only for Path B, until the end of the game, 3-4 updates, but then I thought it would not be fair to those who are waiting for Path A. So, I want to share with you my ideas. After the release of Path A, I want to make a poll. And it is possible that after the vote will be released only updates on one path, until the end of the game, then on the second one. I plan to finish the game, and for each branch, it will take 3-4 updates. I know that I won't be able to tell you everything I have planned in these updates, but the game hasn't gained popularity.Although if something changes and people want me to keep developing, I will keep developing the game, it's up to the players.
Separately, I want to thank my new and old patrons! Thank you for your support! I really appreciate it!

Zee95 , I always vocal about 1 path development. It's not about I'm fan of path A or B or C. I just feel disconnected to the story when you're updating different path each month. For now, you're pretty much putting aside Path C, so I need to wait 2 or 3 months for the continuation of either Path A or Path B. In my experience, sometime I already forgot the story even when it's regular update per month for a linear VN games. I do remember the title, but the story, it's gone from my head. So if I have to wait for 2 or 3 months ... I'll still play it, but because "I don't remember the story", this leads to "I don't care anymore about the story", thus leads to "I just here for the sex scene, pls?". There's a lot going on in real life, only real hardcore fans or super legit pervert gamers who don't have a life but playing porn games will still able to remember the story after gone for 2~6 months.

I agree. Also it brings difficulties in the development of the game, I have to replay, reread the script, so that there were no ridiculous dialogues in the game, like - said in the previous update was repeated in the next one, or that there were no stupid inconsistencies. Well, we' ll see what will be chosen in the poll.
