Ren'Py - Completed - The Wish [v1.0.1] [Midnite Guerilla]

Good Story, nothing groundbreaking, but well done all the same. The sex scenes, while there are not a ton of them available, are decent quality, but short. More variety of scenes, and more expansive animations would have been nice, but all in all, a relatively quick, fun VN!

the game was good. mainly focus of the game was the process of incest with mom and in the process having sex with other girls. the story was quite refreshing. didn't imagine the twist of her being the mother of the protagonist. however, the games animations were and enjoyed the game. thanks for the game developer. good luck and keep up the good work.

I found the story interesting.
-Things Ok:
The character models are ok. (Although I find Mrs. Hunter the best milf ever seen in all the games I played).
The animations are not bad, some are nice too, but you could do more.
-Bad things:
"Logic," in some cases, I didn’t understand.
Annoying progression system with more similar "riddles" in search of Easter eggs.

-Considerations:
A game all in all good, that manages to entertain and pushes you to play it, the only "flaw" is that it lasts a short time.

Pretty solid.

-The models, art, environments are often impressive; as is the general presentation. Some animations are well above par, fluid and affecting.

-Very nice mix of porn in the pacing; matches up well with other activities. Did not feel all that laborious in seeking out “the good stuff” while the sexual situations weren’t completely cheap and throw away events either. I’d say that measure is a high point of the effort overall.

It’s a reasonably in-depth story without being overbearing. I did feel somewhat invested.

-Interactive elements are actually somewhat dynamic. There could be more done to “inhabit the space” but the tools are certainly there to allow for that (going forward, if there might be plans to do that).

-The narration is colorful. To the point where the author might be a bit too in love with their own comedy but I’m gonna call that a plus on the whole. Generally personable. Good effort there. Quality writing overall.

-While there are some minor alterations based on User Choice there did not appear to be any significant branches born off of that. Not quite sure if that’s a plus or a minus, actually. It generally played well.


CONS:

Severely lacking when it comes to facial expressions. Although there is a lot of personality in character depiction despite that. Some tweaking there could significantly enhance my involvement and the value overall.

There’s enough here - and again, the pacing is appreciated and effective - that I feel a little cheated by… ironically enough, the length. Parameters have been carefully set into place, only to meet a somewhat abrupt ending. I could feel the corners being cut about 2/3 of the way through it. And that’s a bit of a waste, given all of the tools and elements already set in place.

I haven’t read the thread here in totality but I would definitely recommend a continuation on this. Touch up some spots on what’s already there. And then open up the backend. A whole lot of story left to tell, if you ask me…


BOTTOM LINE:

Good effort. Worth your time if you’re into some quality involvement over mindless “smashing”.

Pros:
-the story is interesting, mom-son incest where the son lusts for his mother and seduces her gradually
-the game achieves a good balance between story and sexy scenes
-the seduction between the son and mom progresses at a good pace keeping the player interested
-the son also bangs other sexy girls/MILFS on the side
-the game is complete which means the story finishes with a satisfying end
-it's more arousing than other, longer games since there is more lust and more sex scenes
Cons, not too significant:
-the women/girls are a bit less sexy than in other games, but still really attractive so no problem here
Other remarks:
-the game takes around around 5-7h to complete with the walk-through when going through all the scenes, reading all the text and even trying a few alternate branches
Summary: sexy story, progressing at a good pace, good mom-son seduction, hard to stop playing once started.
Conclusion: very good game, highly recommended, 5 stars.

Pros:

• It's shockingly rare to find a game with a MILF character who doesn't look like she's in her 20s (or in some cases IS in her 20s with a "Oh she had me young" line of dialogue thrown in) so kudos for having a woman with stretch marks and some sag to her face.
• Funny dialogue. Legitimately. Usually, games that advertise themselves as being funny are absolutely terrible but this dev actually has a decent sense of humor.
• Not a cookie-cutter story.

Cons:

• Not much variety in character models. Even the girl who complains about not having a huge chest has a huge chest.
• I could have done without the supernatural aspect. "Naked fairy shows up and makes you a sex god" is such an overused trope in these games that it automatically earns -1 star from me anytime it shows up.
• Too short. This is billed as a completed game but it is lacking a lot of content with other characters. Especially your classmate, who is the hottest model in the game but has zero purpose to the story and no lewd scenes. It really feels like a mid-development build where the dev has only finished one ending.

The story was quite short but interesting.
The models are good.

The gameplay is ok : a bit of choice is not bad.

Being able to read the journal of the landlady if we want to is very nice because we get to know what she thinks without her knowing and without being "out of character" from the MC.
That's cool.

The few explanations about law were interesting; as a non US inhabitant, i assume they were true. It's rare to find interesting knowledge in this kind of game but i liked it.

The renders are amazing, girls and environment looks great. The MC monologues are nice and not too long NPC doesn't nearly come close.
Plot is good, but leaves you lot to desire because the other girls are beautiful too. Honestly feels wrong to be Chad Thundercock in a VN and not impregnate every girl, so aside from the MILF plot all other things are litter/placeholders. I think the game was rushed after a point because if the other characters were utilized it would be way longer. I started feeling 5 stars to this game but after a while it went down to 4 starts because sex scenes have very limited number of CGI, I can't jerk off to that, so at this point the game is just for the story. The grind and lack of story with the college girls reduce this to 3 stars. I rejected the ugly girl that sits next to me but I doubt there would be considerably story for that because the game ends when you achieve the end relationship with the Milf and the other girls didn't give out much story too. Anyways, let's say a bit positive things and end this review. I like the stuff in the mall it just makes me replay/skip the same stuff , it also contradicts with the dickgirl, surely she could give me so immunity. The social issues presented in the game are done nicely.
After all, the game didn't give me satisfaction with it's progress, end game and conclusion. I even busted a nut to internet porn when playing the game.
I guess this could be somewhat textbook case of AAA games having a good 2 hours first to prevent refund then being drudgery. This has been mostly a feedback than a review but whatever. I reduce it to 2 starts because I regret playing this and it had some good potential thus gave big disappointment.

I'm going to lie if I do not say that I was slightly disappointed in the ending.

Overall I thought 90% of the game were great. The pacing with Mrs Hunter was a bit off for me, but the writing and clever dialogue more then made up for it. The interactions with the other girls were all great with my personal favourites being: 1) Carys and I was hoping for some follow up on Rebecca.... and then booom! THE END.

It was very abrupt and out of nowhere for me.

Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of clever mechanics and dialogue in the game.
1) I thought Joanna's journal were a very clever idea.
2) The way the backstories were done were excellent like the picture in your room, the porn mags, newspaper clips etc.

I was on my way to scoring the game a 5/5, but now I'm not sure if it should be a 4 or a 3.

On a positive note: I loved all the girls, I loved their bushes (I'm a fan!!) and I love Carys.
I love everything about her looks, Her red hair, her bush, her puffy nipples, her freckles and the bit about her personality that we got in the game were all 10/10. If we had a choice at the end...she would be it.
I think this will move me to score the game 4 out of 5.

TLDR, Great game with great potential, but ending was a bit of a let down.

Game started out great, good story/renders but after playing it for like 6 hours, turns out I shouldn't have fucked the women at the mall so the game ended? fuck starting it again, hate games with endings like that.

This game is pretty decent. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could but I can't so I'm going with 3/5.

The renders are pretty decent and I actually found myself more or less enjoying the story and characters. One of the biggest problems the story has is that it's very clearly rushed towards its ending.

The ending comes at you incredibly fast and it ends up being really anti-climactic. Not only that, but there are several areas in the house (namely the basement) where literally nothing ever happens. The dev just put those areas in the game assuming that he will put content there later, but then he never got to it. This results in the game feeling really empty and unfinished despite the "conclusion" of the story and the Completed tag.

That's all the relevant stuff for anyone looking for spoiler-free reviews to determine if they want to download the game or not. However, I'll end this review with a personal opinion: I'm a big fan of games with futa/trans/trap/sissy content in it. I know that 99% of games that have that tag make that content optional and I'm totally fine with that. However, it really really annoys me when I play a game like this that has the futa/trans tag, only to find out that it's just referring to a stupid fairy that appears in like 2 scenes? Like why even use the futa/trans tag if they aren't in any H scenes? Why make that character have a dick at all? Just so you can use the futa/trans tag and trick people who enjoy that content into playing your game?

That kind of thing is really annoying and it's my main motivation for rounding down that 3.5 to a 3 instead of rounding up to a 4.

Review for v1.0.1

This game is strange in many ways, both good and bad. This game was obviously intended to be much bigger, but plans changed, and the ending was rushed and tied off. However (and surprisingly), despite this, i was able enjoy it.



As per recommendation of other reviewers, i played this game along with the walkthrough. You should 100% play it with the walkthough. Don't play it blind, you'll have an aneurysm and fucking die.

Graphically, it's pretty average. The renders are good enough to illustrate the story well, but nothing much beyond that. The composition of the shots, body poses and facial expressions is all pretty average, i feel like much better work could have been done in those ends, but hey, it served the purpose of the game reasonably well.

The characters are pretty good actually, they all seemed to be colorful and believable enough and i liked the various personalities offered even though there is only one woman in particular the game is evolving around.

Gameplay wise that's where it start to get strange. It has the structure of a classic point-and-click game (The shitty detective and clues type) where you have to press a bunch of pointless objects and rooms until you eventually find relevant objects for you to progress the story. You pretty much have to select the good choices highlighted in the review to progress the game, otherwise you get a game over or you don't get your scenes. But at least i don't have to grind anything or harvest bullshit relationship points.

Which kind of beg the question as to why the fuck this game isn't a kinetic novel at this point but whatever, let's move on.

At least the game is pretty straightforward to follow and pretty funny as well, so you can easily get over it. And since it's pretty short (You can complete the game in about 2 hours, assuming you are following the walkthrough and reading through the dialogue), the ordeal doesn't feel bad much and you get your sexy times along the way. The game is really centered around a particular character (The MILF) so if you are not into her, close the game and delete it.

Writing wise, the game is pretty nice! You get a witty, sarcastic conscience (?) to accompany you and the dialogue is certainly equally entertaining (Most of the time, you get actual class readings... Thank god you can just skip through those). And it's nice to have an MC who isn't actually an immense raging manipulative asshole.

The game obviously was meant to be something larger. The relative complexity and time-consuming point-and-click adventure and interactions you have would have been a complete waste of time if the game was meant to end this way. This ring also true for many of the side-characters who are introduced once or twice then never heard from again. Which make most of their interactions, or even existence completely useless.

And since at the time of this review, the dev Midnite Guerilla seem to have fallen off the face of the Earth, it all point out to a project that was hastily put to an end, where it only wanted to be larger.

So in short: It's an enjoyable game if you are into a good MILF and an occasional side-fuck. It's short, the walkthrough and the game itself is fun to go through and you get a few lewd scenes for your own enjoyment.

Sad it can't ever be more than this, but honestly i've seen waaaaaay worse.

Horrible needle in the haystack gameplay, randomly looking around for anything to help you get a good ending. It sucks. If you play you'll need a walkthrough. The milf isn't bad, but shes just kinda bland and the sexual buildup honestly felt rushed and kinda boring, like it was something that had to happen rather than something that felt natural. The actual plot is so generic with a twist you can pick up on pretty quick. Its just very bland and I don't find any of it particularly engaging. Still the renders were pretty.

The Bad

• Spare yourself pain and use the walkthrough, it's the worst kind of needle-in-a-haystack point and click game
• Short game that can be completed in one sitting, if you edge waiting for the right scene to nut too

The Good

• If you like incest taboo then you'll find this game incredibly hot
• The game doesn't suffer from cliché or generic tropes; I really felt like the dev had a unique/fresh perspective to his storytelling
• Decent animations & Lewd noises for sex scenes

Final Remarks
I kinda hate to admit it but I DO love incest fetish games -- and I've played many of the best ones on this site -- I wouldn't hesitate to put this game on par with any of the other top tier games for this fetish. It's not perfect, in fact it has obvious flaws, but what it does right it totally nails. Easy 5-star imo

3D models could be a bit better but they're not bad. The idea behind the gameplay is amazing, but it ends up being the curse of all bad point and click games: you either use a walkthrough to find what you need and where that item is at or you keep going from place to place hovering your mouse looking for clickable things. This makes progress in the game very dull and just not fun at all.

This was a GEM. I read through some of the other reviews, some folks loved it, others hated it..mostly because it was short. Meaning it was really good and people wanted more.

I rated it 5 stars because it was extremely well done, and although short, it was a fun, romp.

Art was excellent, story although a little crazy, was sensible. Left you wanting more, but it was complete.

Hope to see more from this Dev.

Nice game.
My only regret is that it's a little short. The story is... but the sex scenes too. Only 1 action/scene (and view angle most of the time) by sex scene make them a bit frustrating.
But for a small game... it's well made.

I had a great time with Wish, even though it's a pretty small world/environment you have a lot of things to do and get lost in xD. It's quite realistic, as it's a very well written game, that makes you keep playing more and more to unlock its story/plot/places, etc... . That's why I give it 5 stars, as it was a very good experience.

What a great game! The chars are well designed and the renders have a nice quality. The Story was nice and it has a, for me, new entry in a VN. Especially i liked the idea with the vids in the game. It is nice that there are not just some pics when you watch TV....or Porn. I laughed when the vid of the daydream shows up, it take me off guard.
What i appreciate is, that you can skip the puzzles and minigames and that this game has not the annoying grind-factor, from other games.
The story is round and has a nice ending. i wished for more story with the sidechars but it is just the hornyness to bang the others more and more...and more ;-)
