I'm about to buy a new computer. One that is much more powerful than the current one (basically I will have an rtx 5070ti 16GB instead of an rtx 2060 6GB). Technically I will be able to make renders faster... Except that all my titles are labeled crap without exception. So you extend The Zeta Sector to have 1000 renders instead of 300. What changes? Every part of your work has been identified as an issue. If you attempt to fix one that's a change and people are angry. In the meantime time passes and people get even angrier. But if you don't fix any then people are angry by default.

Sorry everyone for all this "noise". I just always think I improved then society tells me no :D Like the locations in the ui stay in the same place. Or the dialogues were improved. Or now you can buy yourself out of slavery. This means that all the slave paths can be merged and you can have lots of slavery stuff going on (including being a cat and a pony that were separate before). Or you have a choice at the beginning that matters. Or you can heal and change weapon during combat. Then I make the update and it's just complaint after complaint.

With Stellar Justice it is pretty much the same. Between 0.4 and 0.5 I visually enhanced or remade 80% of the renders and nobody even noticed. Yesterday I made 14 renders for the zombie side quest which is even more than the usual 10. But then I get back to the thread and I have 4 reviews that say don't bother and 3 pages of people just shredding it. It makes me feel like why bother.

I guess it is really better for me to hide for a while and wait out the half a year. Maybe the currents will be different after that and people would be more kind to these titles.

I mean it doesn't solve the issue with the smaller games like Nel's Misfortune. Like you drop it out and people will be like "YOU CALL THIS A COMPLETE GAME?????????" So that will be a nice round too. Then you will have people bringing it up even if your later titles are successful :D So I guess what I want to say that I thought I could make great games. Then it turned out I suck so much it isn't even funny.
I don't know what to tell ya there. I know I've been enjoying your games in so much as I've enjoyed the worldbuilding. I've held off on doing a review as it was obviously a WIP. It is a bit disheartening as a player when the flagship game all of a sudden seems shrunk back to less content than the side stories. You went from an option rich platform where depending on your choices you MAY end up in slavery to one person or another, to starting off in non-optional slavery working your way to freedom only for your remaining options to be who to re-enslave yourself to. there's teasers for possible intrigue and plot with the other ships in the dock, but until those threads are fleshed out, it instead feels like the grind has no real payoff. This last update finally started to crawl out of that with the spacesuit/coolant leak thread. I'm looking forward to once again traveling between worlds, doing silly things like spraying NPCs with water pistols, and avoiding (or falling into) traps from slavers and dommes of different styles and origins. and of course more latex/ruinite  but in the meantime I'm not sure what positive feedback I can give except that I see the work you ARE doing and look forward to more.

I'm glad that you look forward for more. :D I honestly think it will be better this way. The old version had vast chunks of the game locked from the main loop and this way I can finally merge them and make them part of the main loop. I thought about the Elena romance a lot. I'm up for changes later on, but only when much more of the game is complete and it is clear as the day that certain things are wrong. The earlier versions had a lot of big changes that were honestly not needed, it got to the point it was ridiculous.

Hello everyone! Sadly the dreaded day has arrived and Patreon decided to get rid of my account saying that my content is not on part with their guidelines. I will try to appeal but I'm not a 100% they would listen. Until then please see my SubscribeStar page that is still up and running.

The Zeta Sector 1.2.51 had uncompressed art and a 963MB archive, webp compression leaves much to be desired.

I'm curious how many people will follow. So far there is no one :D my favorite was deviantart where I had 34 subscribers and all of them disappeared to the wind after my original account was banned. But we will see.

I think I was one of the 34 people on DeviantArt. It's not that we've disappeared, when an account is banned everything associated with it is automatically lost because the account ceases to exist.

Given the recent scandals, I suppose they banned you on itch too? Is Subscriberstar the last bastion?.

The Patreon $1 tier was the same as the Deviantart $1 tier was (and so is the SubscribeStar $1 tier). Many of the 34 people keep faving my stuff on the new account so they know. With SubscribeStar there were public announcemets about the account being opened so people know.

I get that money is important. But I only have 1 active subscriber on SubscribeStar on the $2 tier. In the meantime I tend to spend $200 on the games on average while my salary in Hungary is roughly $1100. So continuing this thing in it's present form became a real challenge. :D

Itch.io is up too. This gave me the idea to make a post there and explain what happened.

I wrote an appeal to them, but it doesn't look pretty. It doesn't seem like they actually went deep into stuff. The 2nd and the 3rd post they mention are completely con, the first one is about a prisoner who gets sentenced to slavery, but she is given a drug that makes her enjoy it... So I guess they didn't read the text. This makes the process of appeals fun because they sure won't read the text in the next go either :D

Welp, it's the third day and still nobody went over. I'm starting to get worried that I lost my entire subscriber base...

I don't get it. Two months ago I had 108 subscribers. 34 on Deviantart and 74 on Patreon. Then the original Deviantart account was banned and none of the 34 subscribers followed. Then the Patreon account got banned and so far only 1 person followed. The tiers offer the same as in the old ones. I don't understand.

The four titles + the shorts have hundreds of words and almost a thousand renders between them. And the amount of subscribers is 4. Then if you try to reach out to folks it's just complaint after complaint + people dissing you for taking long with the next update.

I do. But I don't know what I can say that would be of any help. I do feel sorry but there's nothing I can do.
What pisses me off that this could be a simple platform change. Nope. Patreon pulled the plug. That's how long long you could develop your beloved titles. FFS the SubsbribeStar literally offers the same thing.
