What pisses me off that this could be a simple platform change. Nope. Patreon pulled the plug. That's how long long you could develop your beloved titles. FFS the SubsbribeStar literally offers the same thing.

Yeah I don't really understand that either. I guess people subscribe to so many creators that they don't even notice them missing? But I wouldn't be that careless with my money.
It is possible that people didn't like the reimagination and were planning to end their subscriptions anyway.

But 107 out of 108? It seems a bit too much honestly. I've seen channels where there was no content for a year or longer, and people were still hanging around.

Yes, but I always thought that if you lose a platform, it's just a platform, people would follow you to the next one. It sucks because I'm not a person with a lot of money and the daz market is expensive. So I guess I will return to this title if ww3 happens and the daz store releases everything for free because we will all get nuked anyways.

Thanks! The game is Desert Nightmare: Alescia. The renders are from the shorts to serve as demonstrations, except for the ugly creatures. I did that render today. I want to expand the scope of the game so you could have combat, actual exploration and survival elements. I also want to have the intro to have more renders so the game would be more of a visual experience than a reading.

You need to set up a Discord channel or something similar to communicate with your subscribers in case you are banned.

Perhaps many of those patrons will have seen the page disappear without explanation and will have no idea what happened.

SubscribeStar yes. My Patreon was permanently banned and deleted.

It's been two weeks so I think most of them already know. If you follow a guy you follow (at least for me, whenever I subscribe, I follow everything).

Reaching out to other platforms might be a good idea for me. These days I either get 1 or 0 subscriber per update, so it's not like I could convince a lot of folks here.

Sharing updates on the current sites doesn't work. I get 0 or 1 subscriber per update. My old subscriber base had enough of me as well, and after my Patreon got deleted they chose not to rejoin. But if I could find a new place I could start gaining subscribers again.

I know. Everything is a mess. It makes me angry even more honestly. I achieved nothing. No game got completed. I lost my entire subscriber base. Virtually everyone is angry at me on f95zone while on other places everyone is silent. I spent all the money I could, I gave it all the time I could. Just to achieve the nothing. I'm so angry at this point I feel physically sick.

Okay, I have a bit of a news. Originally I wanted to wait but honestly it's been weeks since my Patreon got deleted. The 9 paid members and the $28 revenue I have is virtually all that is left. It sucks big time because it is the moments of hope that kill your soul. My Patreon's revenue almost doubled in the six months prior to the deletion. So I practically had my ray of hope telling me that it could work out only to have reality slammed into my face.

I don't know when I could get back to the 1.6.3 version. I'm going to continue making games as a hobby. That's how it started, and that's how it ends up. The point is that I won't be able to finance the development of 1.6.3 for a long while. And when I could it will be years later, and I honestly don't want to drag this project so long. If years later I'm still around I could do The Zeta Sector - Chapter II. and make something exciting instead of reworking the same old. Therefore I officially roll back the version to 1.2.51.

Right now I have a lot of fatigue with the project. I don't want to continue right away. I have two titles for this year I want to get going with, the one is Desert Nightmare, that finally gets finished, the other is The Facility - The Game, which features Veronica's return to the establishment that was introduced in the shorts. But at the start of the next year I will allocate 3 months to the project, and I will finally finish it. I won't be as grand I imagined. Not even close. But I will add at least 2 ending missions, close up some game end paths, and add some interaction with Nel and Lauren. So it would feel like something that has a beginning, a middle and an end, instead of a half finished carcass.

I don't want any free releases until completion. Not with this or with the other projects. I have mental health problems that I'm seeing a therapist with. I've basically been on and off therapy since childhood. I honestly shouldn't have went into the meat grinder, but I did, and I got burned. So I think the only publish when complete approach should help me to keep a clear head while I keep working on the titles.
