Why not? It's the artist's choice, they should be interested in what they're working on. Unless they're taking a poll, you can always commission custom work from artists, but they'll always work on what they prefer. That's why every artist's work is unique.

Why in the world would anyone release a video in 4k resolution encoded in H.264 and not H.265, if nothing else then at least to largely improve on the file size for those who want to watch it?
