Yeah, but even Pokemon has different settings for each game. These games have the same bloody idea from teenager going to Home2 teenager wanting to smash mother / sister / aunt / grandmother sometimes even the 3d chaeacter doesn't change from one game to the next. I've seen people using the Victoria 8 base character so many times, and at least in Pokemon, you collect different Pokemon each time, which is a nice change.
