Things you're tired of seeing in a game?

things that make me mentally shake my head are games that have a good story, but poor cinematography
- lighting is basic
- camera angles usually the same
- scenes that should have been dramatic to the story are given standard treatment
- scenes (locations might be a better word) dont look lived-in (sometimes just a singular house in the middle of nowhere)
- too large of a gap between the poses seen in viewed pngs

- MC as a jerk. I know it's difficult to make a decent harem story(99% male hetero oriented games) without falling in that pit, but still one can dream....
- Daz renders with boobs bridge issues (mostly 99% of games out there...)
- Overall, scenarios rendered in Daz; not devs fault, just Daz falling short.
- Renders with light not well calculated.

is it weird that I have no problem with futa, but I despise femboys, sissys and especially crossdressers. I don't know if its because there is too many of them in real life and actual men who want to be men are slowly becoming an endangered species, or if it just offends my masculinity to see a man acting like a sissy. - Overtly humongous larger than life tits. Everyone loves tits but it gets to the point where they're either hilarious or gross looking.

- Insane renders = Asscheeks plot. I'm not asking for Oscar Wilde, but damn you could invest a little time into the personality/story of the characters you spent so much time making look incredible.

- The one sex scene dev's force themselves to put in at the start of a game to reel people in. There's no attachment to any character yet so it's just boring shit to skip past. That time could be better spent grounding the plot to actually make it more realistic instead of having an unrealistic sex scene no one's gonna fap to.

- 90% of games on the site being rip off's of Summertime Saga and ICSTOR. There's way better games to rip off I promise you.

- The fat best friend who's supposed to be comic relief but is always an annoying carbon copy of it's inspirations.

- Unrealistic and nonsensical dialogue that takes you out of the plot.

- Played Mad World for the first time recently and it made me realise how much better the experience is with good music for once. I'm tired of the same 5 copyright free songs in these games. I know for a fact it's not that hard to find different ones from the millions of copyright free songs that are out there.

- When girls take one look at the MC and immediately fall in love with him. Then decide to drop whatever life they had to let him smash whenever he wants. At that point you're just fucking a virtual warehouse of sex dolls

reminds me of the most obvious for me - obnoxiously pervasive oedipus complex everywhere. You'd think incest as a category would evenly cover things like mother-son, father-daughter, brother-sister, etcetc.

Nope. It's like 90% mommy porn. The games will have other characters/siblings, but the stories and fan enthusiasm will be 90% King Oed Certified. It angers me especially because even if you dont like incest themes, you can ignore the relationships and still enjoy a father-daughter or brother-sister game because you're generally looking at an attractive girl. You can't do that with mommy porn, and its acolytes get even more frothy if moms don't look 40 years old.

You also dont really get a chance to focus on siblings except the parents are dead or away...personally i dont think there is something hotter than a sister and the only thing more disgusting than mom is dad...but sadly is a general rule here, either you seduce your whole family or you dont get anyone.

If reaching the end of a game is predicated upon a 25% chance of encountering a stray fairy in the woods if you go out on a new moon after chapter 6 then you can fuck off. I'm not going to wander around your game world for hours hoping to maybe trigger something that I need to move the plot along.

Yeah things like this are all too common and just bluntly shit design, it's like they're written into code then the writer never actually plays the experience himself. Random events should happen fluidly, and the less likely and more off the beaten path they are, the less crucial they should be to the story as a prereq for other events.

I think a big reason for this is the inherent power play involved. The mother character has some level of intrinsic authority over the player so it's a pretty natural choice if you want a femdom plot or a role-reversal theme where the focus is on corruption. The sibling dynamic is going to be more complicated.
As for why dad's usually not in the picture: that's probably because most people playing porn games aren't into dudes.

I'm not saying you're wrong for being irritated by this. Just that it's not surprising.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. Massive open RPGM games with fuck all in them. There's absolutely no reason dev's should make massive ghost towns towns with hundreds of buildings that look identical, when there's only 3 houses you can actually go into and interact with. If you have to spend the vast majority of the game walking around doing nothing then the game blows.

Stockings not being handled well. First off, mine's a pantyhose fetish, so I have to begrudgingly accept stockings. Secondly, if they're going to be put in a game, then they need to be in alignment with the legs and feet. Offset stockings are distracting and they frequent a number of games.
