Kineting novels just bother me. They're really just read-only slideshows with a background tune. Not every VN needs to be like Fate/Stay night, but at least let me have some agency over where the story goes!

Even with just one or two alternate paths or bad/alternate endings, you can create a story with much more depth than just a purely linear story.

I Walk Among Zombies did this right while keeping things simple. Just one choice, and one alternate ending per episode - but each alternate ending had some ominous clues and implications not seen in the episode's canon end.

I can see this. And I feel it's because the people making games and stories themselves don't have a clue how to be authoritative and powerful and usually have this sort of power hate and jealousy, so the dominant character is usually also bad.

You can be nice and also be successful and dominate. These things do not immediately mean you must be evil.

Male representation here is severely underwhelming because the guys doing these things don't have the magic that would make them a ceo or something.

At the end of the day all the characters are written on the stereotypes that the person writing them is capable of having, and the believability only goes so far as they have done research or experienced previously. You can usually learn a lot about an author from what they write!

I'd say that the sliding scale of how dominant is measured on this site is vast. There are people who think that a woman being assertive or being on top is dominant instead of just being, you know, normal.

This isn't so much as dealing with tags on games but on devs who make them. If you are gonna make a textbox that has anything in it (images or colors) besides the text give a damn opacity slider. The moment I play a game and it doesn't allow one I uninstall. Yes, I could download that transparency mod but even with that you can run into the issue of now you will be missing other things you need to click on.

And lastly also on devs. Make a damn replay for your games instead of having people hope one of the few modders add it for them. That's another thing that will get me to uninstall a game if there isn't a replay/gallery on the front page or in the comments or if I do decide to download it and don't see one on the main screen or anywhere else in the game its a nope for me.

There is an ungodly amount coming out every day, and I can't block them fast enough.
And I don't mean just the soulless art and the fingers and toes out of a Cthulian nightmare. I've noticed some developers use AI for scripts, and they don't even bother to make grammar corrections.
Or when the image shows a woman with short hair and the text below says, "You look at her long hair."
AI is a tool meant to help the process of creation, not create on its own.
