UPDATE: I am raising my score to 4 stars because I feel I was way too harsh with this, with nitpicking on things that I was flat out wrong on, namely the "hitting enemies through walls" part, as while enemies can hit you through walls, the opposite is true as well, among others. This review is being amended.
I want to point out that this was done with version 0.31.0 on windows x64, and I most likely will not keep this opinion as the game is developed further. I am overall happy with what the devs have put forth, I simply think it is lackluster, at the moment. Again, that will obviously change as the game's development progresses further in the coming months and years.
This game is good for what it offers, to a point. I am frustrated with a lot of it, but it isn't anything that can't be fixed as the game is developed further.
Firstly, the game is pretty long if you do your utmost to get all the events and raise Jenna's perversion as much as possible. If you don't however, you can get to the end of the current storyline in about 1.5 hours, if you know where everything is and/or you skip all cutscenes. This will, obviously, change as the story gets developed further in future updates.
The story itself is alright. It's nothing too groundbreaking at the moment, but it's serviceable for what the game wants to do. I'm not the biggest fan of how the level of Jenna's perversion only has an effect on certain story scenes, and doesn't persist most of the time during story. I get why they can't do that, since that means effectively coding and rewriting everything to account for it, but it would be nice, maybe when the main story is finished, overall. I will say that Karen being a huge bitch to Jenna for something she genuinely wasn't completely at fault for, years ago, becomes old really quickly.
It makes sense in context, however, what with Karen not being aware that Jenna was held in a Peitho facility for 5 years, and thinks she(Jenna) abandoned her(Karen) to Peitho. It's just that she has no meaningful character traits outside of that, at the moment. I have not even the slightest clue what they plan to do with her, but I do have hope that she'll be more nuanced in the future than the "Jenna bad, must kill" character she is now.
Scene wise, the game is also alright. A lot of the scenes amount to Jenna just being a whore and being progressively more lewd and sucking more dick and screwing more men and occasionally other women, mostly Jewel and Rida. I will say, I'm a little peeved that the story and some scenes make it clear that Jenna is/was a lesbian, even when 90% of scenes, both in story and in normal gameplay, show that she's more bi than anything. The whole mind-control sex thing going on in the town obviously has an effect on Jenna and others, it's just a little off-putting. The ratio of scenes may change as the game is developed further, so we'll just have to wait and hope. The gameplay and story is obviously completely segregated from one another for these moments, since they obviously cannot account for every single possible outcome or perversion Jenna is at. For example, when Throb tells Jenna he's gay, she responds that she is too, but she can have fucked the entire town's population of men to hell and back a thousand times over by the time it's said. That being said, on a pure run, or a run where none of the lewd scenes are taken, her being a lesbian rings more true, and that might be what they're going for, but still.
I'd also like to say that the scenes individually are good, and are unique in that none of them feel exactly the same, though they all boil down to the same general thing. If there is a progression of events that escalates and makes Jenna more perverted, it will suitably reflect that in her dialogue during the event and subsequent ones.
The game is a little buggy. Sometimes you might gain perversion on accident or in a previous save before the scene that gave Jenna that perversion. The status screen sometimes doesn't update and tell you whether or not you gained any perversion and how much, but then updates later when you needed a specific perversion level to do something, mainly the pure options. It doesn't happen often enough to be a huge problem, but it is still a problem.
The combat isn't the best, and it has a lot of problems, ones I hope will be changed in future updates, since most of this is just nitpicking. All of your abilities have ranges that an enemy or ally has to be in for you to use it on them, but the problem is that there isn't any way to tell how far you need to be from an enemy/ally until you've either wasted all your energy points to figure it out, or not killed the enemy when you did use the ability on them. Sometimes enemies will move to the exact same square as another, making it impossible to kill both of them at once. Since the game is positive there is only one enemy there, when you kill one, it marks the square as having no enemy there at all, meaning if you ran out of energy and the enemy isn't a healslut rat or can't attack at all, there's nothing you can do to get away from the one remaining. You characters also die way, way too fast. Jenna, Jewel, and Floria can take maybe two hits before going down, and Throb and Rida aren't much better.
All in all, the game is OK at the moment. The flaws the game has aren't huge, aside from the combat, and even that can and most likely will be fixed in the coming updates. The devs have done a great job with what is there at the moment, and while it is by no means perfect, it is certainly of higher quality than a lot of games on the market these days.
