Has this game gotten a save/respawn mechanic yet? Or do you still have to start from scratch every time you die?

I thought roguelikes generally were supposed to have some kind of meta progression though, and not do a complete wipe every time you die. Also I read some time ago that the developer had said they were planning some kind of save system in the future. That was probably a couple of years ago now, which is why Im asking.

RogueLITES have a progression system, rogueLIKES do not

they are working on a souls system where you get to accumulate souls after each run to buy upgrades, for now you can use souls to refresh holy/slut portal items

That is rouge-lite.
I though the save system is for persevering run cus earlier patch run get reset once u close the game.

I still remember the first time play this game there is only the sex scenes with goblins and dev try to make a rpg side-scroller. I thought this game gonna be a flop. What a jonney.

I think it's only because this game is still incomplete. Hope they spend some time to rebalance the game once all features are complete.
