Hello man from icecream van, I have played this new update and it is good (as usual), but there is still that little issue I talked about some time ago that bothered me: Mark talks like if he actually care for the girls, but the player has the chance to play him like if he doesn't care about the girls' destiny and like if he is trying to take advantage of them. I have reflected upon this an I think this is due to how you have structured the dialogues: for example in this update Mark offers some money to Zoe, in order to avoid that she will let the bar's customers grope her, only if the player choose the "Offer some money to Zoe" option. This is obviously logical, but in this way the attitude you want give to Mark, doesn't emerge and this creates the little issue I'm talking about. Instead if Mark offered some money to Zoe and only after a first Zoe's refusal, the player had the choice if convince Zoe to accept the money or not, the Mark's attitude would emerge in a clearer way.

it's 2025, how we still got a game here that doesn't allow you to rename the mc? or did i miss that option somewhere?
Honestly, I don’t really get this whole thing with renaming the main character (or even side characters - I’ve seen that too).
There’s no customization for the MC anyway, so what’s the point of changing the name?

That moment when the MC offers her the money is actually tied to certain conditions (you didn’t notice it because they’re obviously met in your playthrough) - she needs to have already accepted money in the scene with the guy who’s supposedly a cop (the maid job), and the MC must be on Zoe’s route (the scene in her bedroom must be unlocked).
Only then can the MC offer her the coins.

But I do understand what’s missing overall. In many dialogues, the changing relationship between the MC and other characters isn’t really reflected yet.
Starting around v0.3, there will be several updates that add new dialogue lines, response options, and small micro-events into the older content.

this game is played in first person is it not? and there are choices that allows us to act in a certain way. in a game where we are supposed to insert ourselves into the main character, being able to rename him to something of our choosing is like a basic feature.

also, it's not difficult to implement nor will it require much more than 10 min to do. but if you don't want to, that's your business. i'm not gonna demand you cater to me, i was just expressing my surprise.

Overview:
It was an ordinary, boring day when my cousin texted me asking for help. His girlfriend and her friends were supposed to head out to some DJ event out of town, but they had a problem with their car, and my cousin was busy today. His girlfriend is Bianca, and her friends are Tori and Zoe. I know them well—we went to school together. They were the coolest girls in school. But... my relationship with them wasn’t exactly smooth. And now I’m going to drive them in my dad's van, hang out with them at the festival, and spend the night in a hotel. What should I expect?

Netorare
You can avoid the NTR content, but with some conditions - it won’t always work on the first try, and it’s not always possible to avoid it completely (some of the bar’s friendly visitors will still have their fun). There are also plenty of other little details tied to it. If you’re completely against NTR content, then maybe this game isn’t for you.

Good sir, I love this game and these awesome cuties. Your story tells of money and corruption but you don't have stats to show either. The book/diary should have a page for those stats (I love to see stats. Money earned, corruption levels for the girls, etc.) I love the story overall. I hope the girls have a go with each other and then even involve our hero. As their corruption increases their clothing should reflect how much of a slut & whore they are becoming. Thanks for your great work.

Well, at some point there will be relationship points added.
As for corruption - I don’t mind if everyone can see how much of it each character has, but it doesn’t work the way it usually does in similar games.
It only affects interactions with "clients" and even then, not always. The game has a lot of flags that can be triggered depending on the story, and those have a much stronger influence.

About the clothing system: I’m against the idea that corruption should affect how characters dress.
I’ve seen a lot in life, and I’ve never noticed that a woman who dresses provocatively is necessarily more open to sex.
I just don’t think it works that way nowadays.

Money will probably be added at some point.
Although it’ll almost always stay at zero anyway. :)

Can't say I agree with you, but it is your game (and it's a great game), so you do you and we'll enjoy the fruits of your labor. Thanks for responding.

Are we? Because if it is supposed I should insert myself into the main character, I have some request for the developer:
  1. The mc must be bald, 6 feet tall and 210 pound heavy; with more muscle than fat.
  2. He must act in a slightly different way than Mark does. For example he will accept to bring the girls to the rave only if they pay him 500 $ plus expenses.
  3. He must start a war with Bianca about who is the true boss. A war Bianca should lost, because it is better for her.

It seems I have mislead you a little bit with my previous post; my fault.
I will try to be more clear: think about what Ian said about the Pusher (and Helena confirmed): the Pusher cannot force a person to do something he doesn't want, it pushes that person to choose to do the action preferred by the Pusher's brewer, among the various options that person is willing to do and what happens after that? If Zoe and Tory don't drink the Pusher, they will not let the customers grope them, but if they drink, they will let the customers grope them. So I supposed that Zoe and Tory weren't ready to be groped for money, but they did since they were under the Mark's influence, thank to the Pusher. This was somewhat logical until Mark starts to offer money to the girls, in order to avoid to be groped and in this last update he tells to Bianca he hates that they have to whore themselves and this is in contradiction (at least for me) with what happened when Mark gave the Pusher to the girls.
I don't know if this is what you meant when you have written about the update 0.3, but I hope this will make clear what I have tried to explain.

Haven't seen it mentioned... the first few driving scenes show the car driving on the left, and the steering wheel is on the left as well, which just seems wrong.
Yes, yes, I know, nitpicking about realism details in an AI graphics pr0n game. :p

To be honest, the Pusher was originally meant to play a much bigger role.
The first thing that probably comes to mind is, of course, getting one of the girls drunk and doing whatever you want with her (and traces of that still remain in how it’s used early in the game).
But I decided to drop that idea for several reasons:

All that mind-control crap honestly pisses me off.
I think a path based on progressive corruption or developing relationships is way more interesting than just spiking someone’s drink with some shit.

From a gameplay perspective, it also sucks.
Instead of focusing on story or relationship development, the player ends up hunting for a bit more of that junk just to unlock another scene with a particular girl.

The Pusher is also unbalanced - in theory, NPCs should be able to use it too (Helena’s a bitch, yeah) - and if that’s the case, what’s even the point of having corruption, moral struggles, and so on?

So, the Pusher’s use was scaled back.
The early scenes will get remastered soon, and along with that, the story will be slightly refined.
It’s just an outdated mechanic that the game has simply grown beyond.

I think I mentioned this somewhere before, but…
the fact that the car is driving on the wrong side of the road is just an old piece of artwork left over from the demo version.
It’ll be redone at some point. :)

Well, that makes sense now. I kept wondering if I was using the damn stuff correctly and if it did anything.

Why give dialog choices when there's only one? This thing plays like a kinetic novel... I feel very little actual choice to anything. Just clicking away and reading.

It’s rare here that you make a choice and see the result just three clicks later.
Most of the time, you fly past a branching point without even realizing it was there - because the choice was actually made yesterday.
Very convenient. No way to rewind that shit. :)

So the girls are all whoring themselves out for a few coins because of something I chose earlier? It's certainly not something I would have chose if I knew it. Guess I have to restart. And find a walkthrough.

The story has a lot of inertia.
A single click - one choice or action - won’t change much on its own. You might get an extra scene with the MC or someone else, but that’s about it.
A series of choices, however, makes a real difference. The girls don’t usually ask the MC for advice, and for his voice to actually matter, it takes some effort.
By my estimate, the story is only about 15-20% complete, so it’s too early to talk about the MC having major influence on the plot - but it will happen, just later.
Only about ten days have passed since the beginning.
