I totally agree, the first time I played, I threw Henricus under the buss to secure alliance with the king and I regretted it.

Not only do you trade in your foster-father for a politician, the alliance with the king doesn't make sense political wise. The king has only the support of 1 major house against 4 with Lord Silver(something). The rude behavior of Lord Silver(something) and Kain, was quite telling how far their plans are and are basically declaring war.

Next I went with solo allegiance path. That made me understand Henricus his motives. That's why I'm rather inclined to trust Henricus over Lockhart.

It's Lockhart that I don't trust, based on how ruthless his henchmen are. Henricus is just trying to prolong his life to survive. Though, if Lockhart wanted to dox Henricus, he would've done so without going to so much trouble to kidnap a noble.

Yeah, its kinda sad esp as i think EVERYTHING ELSE about the bethroal path is awesome but i cant handle the betrayal against Henrikus lol. I like how ruthless lovell and lorelei are in general, just not about Henrikus call me hypocrite but im loyal to people who deserve it.

The court lorelei/solo allegiance path will be my main playthrough just for that reason.

Even if it turns out that Henrikus is indeed just a evil villain, i would still stand by that decision, we could still try to stop him than but at this point he apparently made the MC's life so much better that he just owes him way too much to betray him just like that.

Even less as the own lore of the country is about verno who is considered a hero and is a spice weaver which proves that you just cant condemn every single spice weaver for simply existing (which would be wrong anyway, come on lol).

Lockheart isnt even claiming that Henrikus goal is to become the almighty ruler, he just suspects it. And Henrikus seems to think that just the MC explaining his "real motives" to lockheart will be enough to get lockheart to back off which doesnt imply that Lockheart is this dead set on the idea.

And lockheart could have revealed Henrikus being a spice weaver to the king himself but didnt, so yeah.

And Henrikus being not even able to teleport away while in mortal danger at least proved that he's indeed spent.

Okay got a question to the dev since I'm fairly new to these Tides, TakMycket how slow-burn are we talking here? Does it take multiple chapters for a sexual interaction with the LIs (So that the build-up is romantic)?

I really wanna play this game coz DAMN those renders looking hella fresh and hella pristine.

It's not going to be super slow-burn. In fact, I wasn't initially going to advertise it as slow-burn, but decided to in the end. It's very much on the edge between not slow-burn, and slow-burn. It also depends on which path you take.

to much heavy impact decisions at the beginning for my taste

do i flirt with kasula even if i dont know how the lorelei marriage part evolve?
will this a political marriage or not at all if i am at kasula path?
do i trust and work with glade or confront henricus?
(you missing a very crucial story part/info if not confront henricus - to much info lost for my taste)

the romance maybe will slow burn - but the story isn't at all -imo
the point i am trying to make is - we dont know enough about the story to make a decision this early

The general design of the game is that you, as the player, knows as much as the MC. There are matters the MC doesn't know about, and as such, there will be matters you as the player don't know about.

So while I can see where you're coming from... there is a reason why the player doesn't know all the information at particular times

When the early access release on Steam is going to arrive? I want to buy the game.

Steam is not on the horizon yet. I'm planning to package the first three chapters as a free demo. So a free demo will be coming out on Steam after the 3rd Chapter is released.

I'm not planning to do a proper Steam release until I'm half-way through Tides. So it'll be a while before anything happens (at least a year, if not longer). The Steam page is up just so I can start gathering wishlists

Since it's not a harem game, I guess we can avoid all sex scenes except between the MC and Lorelei.

All sex scenes are optional, even the ones with Lorelei.

I've a bug in the Glade dinner scene.

After having taken her out for Dinner and wishing her a good night, scene switches to the Lorelei Betrothed path in her room. I didn't use any mod or made any modification myself to the script or variables with the console. I was closely following the WT and I still have open the Explorer / Trust / Throuple paths (because up to this point they're not mutually exclusive).

PS: I'm not on the Lorelei love path anymore; oddly the WT doesn't mention it as a prerequisite for the Throuple.

This is very much a bug. I have fixed this issue, and will be uploading a bug fix very soon.

Does this mean for Chapter 1, Lorelei Betrothal Path is the canon route and Part 2, 3 follow it? Guessing Part 2 will follow that route and have it's own canon route that Part 3 will follow.
Also won't Elva be really old if she's supposed to be the LI for a guy who hasn't been born yet or did I misunderstand that bit?

There is no canon route. I originally did plan to have one, but scrapped the idea of having one a while back. Hence, at the beginning of the sequels, it will ask you to input your ending and the sequels will act as if your chosen ending has occurred.

TakMycket Found a remnant from Henricus having no eyes in the Glade Elva confrontation in chap1, they talk about spice miracles too which i think dont exist anymore

By the way a thing that slightly confuses me in general but maybe i missed something:

How are spice weavers suppsoed to stand out because their eyes glow when they use their spice when other people (like our mc or glade) can use their spice too and their eyes flow too if it happens ?

Normal people can Spice Pledge. When someone Spice Pledges, their eyes glow. They cannot use Spice to do anything else.

Spice Weavers can manipulate Spice in other ways as well. For example, they can use Spice to 'teleport', or heal wounds or in some extreme cases, influence others. Hence, if someone's eyes are glowing, and they haven't Spice Pledged, it's a sign that they're a Spice Weaver.

Perhaps I need to find a way to explain this in-game...

Edit: A little error in the walkthrough Its says to tell Will who you will invite to the Ball in the Lorelei Court path, but in this path its Henrikus youre telling who youre inviting, i suspect it will be Will on the allegiance path

I wouldn't necessarily call it an error. Depending on your allegiance path, the conversation can either take place with Henricus or Will. The result is the same, you can choose who you want to take to the ball, or you can prolong that decision to a later date. Hence, it doesn't really matter if you're talking to Henricus or Will

Attached is the fix to this issue. Just download the script.rpy file, delete the script.rpyc file in your game folder and then replace the script.rpy file in the folder with this new script.rpy file. Problem should be solved.

I'll be releasing a bug fix update later on in the day and replacing all the links. This bug fix update will have fixed this bug, plus a few other issues that have been reported thus far.

Great! I've checked again this morning doing a speedrun from the beginning (to avoid any possible mistakes 'backed' into the saved games) and it seems the Throuple path works as intended now.

Speaking of speedruns, I noticed that the 'kissing' scenes are not easily skippable. Even repeated klicks won't work and I've to watch all the scene from start to end.

I really like where this project is going. Seems I have found another VN I'll support in Patreon...

Due to the way animations are coded into the game at the moment, you can't skip them. I plan to figure out a way to skip them by adding a toggle into the preferences.

I was just uploading a bug fix... fixed that bug. I'll probably wait another day or so to see if anyone else reports anything before publishing the bug fix.

As for the morning scene. There are 5 different variations.

If you're not on Glade's path, it just shows a few renders of Tobias (MC) and Lorelei sharing a bed.
Then, if you are on Glade's path, there are 4 variations:

1. The first is if you're not on Lorelei's path.
2. The second is if you're on Lorelei's path but you've chosen to invite Glade to the Ball.
3. The third is if you've chosen to invite Lorelei to the Ball.
4. The fourth is practically if you're on Lorelei's path and you've either invited Kasula to the Ball, or you're undecided.

Concubines are only mentioned in the first variation - so if you're not on Lorelei's path. If you are on Lorelei's path, a different conversation should happen.

As for the WT, you don't actually need to give her a second chance to be on the throuple path. There are reasons for this, which will become apparent in future updates

As Lorelei bethroal path requires the lovell allegiance, you will talk to Will in this Situation

But on the Court path there cant be a lovell allegiance or it would turn into the bethroal path so you would always talk to Henrikus.

But maybe im stupid. And yeah, it doesnt matter

Okay so here i am, after finishing my navigation trough this game.
I've tried a bit of some different path i suppose. I don't want to test everything because the game is not finished but i'm intrigued to say the least. This universe is not common, sure at first glance it look like pirate + a bit of magic but when you dive into it, it's rather unique. I mean it's refreshing, have this fantasy around pirate, and the magic isn't the classical Vodou you can find when they put magic+pirate together .

What i like is the diversity of choice we can have, and since i didn't redo every choice, they can be even more. (or more in the future). They are a lot of stuff i wanna know more, like are people more grey than black and white (i assume so because you can go different way), or you become more black or white by align with X/Y/Z in a shady way because the MC know so little (which is a good point! always put an healthy dose of mystery to urge the player to dive more into the story )

I have a few concern however, mind you that they aren't funded but they are here. Like i wish i can see what happen, from the MC point of view, about a character even if i'm not on his path. Like if i can stay friend or something else. It's refreshing to see the difference you can have between different path + made the world alive .

When it's about romance, it's still early but i'm hook. I haven't done the glade love path but i've tried the two other. I've a preference for Kasula, she had a very interesting personality. A bit naive but capable and very curious . I even wonder if she haven't got some autistic trait or act like one, but maybe it's just because she is a bit odd or doesn't fit well in the environment, which i love. Oh and also maybe it's just the romance lover that i am, but i very much like the scene where

Great news, this sounds like Mass Effect then. I know many people disliked how Dragon Age: Veilguard didn't take into consideration the preceding games in the series beyond some basic choices.

Take this mostly in jest, but some of these female characters are starting to girl boss a little too close to the sun. Elf girl is gonna get stabbed and while I love how Glade is a badass with a sword.....shes not over powering the MC. Definitely not while shes normal again. If you want to show her skill, its more about using his power against him. Parry, riposte, a side step, or exploiting gaps in his skill. She's not gonna batter him onto his back. We already know shes better than him skill wise after all.

She is also remarkably horny for a dude she tried to kill. I've never seen anyone kill a dude then switch to "put babies in me" so fast. She gets mad when he's interested in spending time with the woman he's supposed to marry. I'm not against horny women, but she's doing it in front of his sorta fiancé too. Like when you don't pursue her does she think the guy she stabbed is gonna want to marry her? God that reminds of a girl I dated in college.....I mean it might make sense if they knew each other from childhood and forgot, but shes acting like it was just a little pokey poke teehee. Didn't mean anything by killing people you knew for years and then you, but you captured me so uwu aren't I just adorable? LOVE ME!!

Don't get me wrong, I like her character...but there are so many mental hoops to jump through. Her being hot doesnt cover past the stabby stab. The fact his crew didn't outright mutiny is nuts, respect for him or not.

When i saw Lorelei , my first thought was that i would focus only on her but turns out i was wrong.
Glade or Lorelei , it's so hard to decide which one to go with , that i might need 2 saves since it seems like we won't be able to choose two LI , maybe right now we can manage that but something tells me we won't be able to when the game progresses more
