Yeah, well good for you, but I do. I'm damned if I'm starting the entire game over again after about 10+ hours of play just to make sure I'm following the walkthrough step-by-step and making all the timelines I need to in order to follow the completely-context-free instructions. If I just wanted to be told exactly what to do and nothing more, I'd play a kinetic novel, not an incredibly elaborate puzzle game.

There absolutely SHOULD be a guide where you can just look up the right section to find answers to questions like "How do you get past the morning of Day 3?" or "How many ways are there to gain access to the club?" or "How do you move the parasite to Georgia?" if that's the only bit you need to know to proceed under your own power.

If I can ever work out how to actually beat this damn game, I seriously may just write that guide.
Here is the thing : you WILL spend even MORE time with a general guide instead of a step-by-step walkthrough. Trust me bro, I tried years ago, when the game only had like 3 days of content : I knew what I needed to do in general... but the devil is in the details :HideThePain: Those little details that will lock some content... and because of which you ABSOLUTLY NEED a step-by-step walkthrough :HideThePain:

That's why I never bother to even downloading the updates... if I don't see that the walkthrough isn't also updated.

You don't have to do yoga on day 2 if Georgia is parasited. She'll vouch for you.

Janice's ass is only available when she is wearing a skimpier costume, i.e. when Georgia is parasited.
Wait, how the hell would I be expected to work those two out? If I skip the day 2 gym session (which is a prerequisite for getting Georgia parasited), then I already know for a FACT there's no point even trying to get into the day 3 session because Jody won't let me, so why would I even try when Georgia is parasited, especially since the normal version of the rejection scene doesn't even feature an appearance by Georgia to give you a hint? And why doesn't CAS mention that Janice's ass is dependant on her costume when she's constantly nagging you to feel her up? See, THESE are examples of actual flaws in the puzzle design (and existing in-game hint system) where the game is just actively misleading. This isn't even trial and error, this is trialing things that you already KNOW to be an error because it turns out that this time they're actually not.

I do not trust you.

I mean, I KNOW that a list of general tips will be less efficient that a step-by-step "this is exactly how you play the game from beginning to end, follow this list and do NOT deviate" list of instructions, but you seem to be missing my point: I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME. Not have it played for me! I just sometimes need a bit of a helping hand, and CAS's hints currently just aren't up to scratch.

Now stop trying to convince me that there's no point anyone making a proper guide because nobody REALLY needs or wants one.

What exactly are the conditions for unlocking the police? I've been playing and trying to figure things out by myself and only referring to the walk-through when I get stuck which, to be honest, is a bit of a mess.

From reading the walk-through I though that simply getting through the demonstration event and bringing Janice, Mia & Georgia home would make the third morning play out differently but even though I've tried various different versions of getting through the demonstration and bringing the girls home, then the next day I'm always alone in my bed and the third morning plays out exactly as usual with the bitchy police stepping on me and time rewinding. I guess there's something else needed that I've missed?
The police wants sister Mia. Ask her if she is willing after demonstration, she will say no. Then try twin sister, also no. Then try other girls as substitutes (janice, Georgia after demo) All no. Then idea for new plan to set up Alice will pop.
Follow the plan with the black policewoman.

Thanks, could've sworn I had tried all combinations but missed the one where Mia gives a hand job, after going through that event (twice), things finally started progressing again.

I think the game would benefit from replacing the current hints system with an actual quest log.

Everything that was a hint should become a trackable quest.
Also to have a log of known info of characters. Sometimes to progress some things, the player needs to "know" something, to unlock new options in already done content. Currently, it is difficult to know if you passed some "information threshold" or not.

I didn't restart to follow the step-by-step walkthrough. I played blind at first but got stuck on developing the consistent Day 3 passes, I could only get the hyper-conditional one with the aggressive sister. At that point I used the guide to just look up things until I had everything I had missed. It's really easy because the guide has most choices verbatim and a list of all the saved timeline steps at the end, so it's really easy to figure out where your gaps are. You can't ever actually "mess up" since you can literally reset to any point or at any point, so no need to restart.

Well, if you don't trust what I said and refuse to use the step-by-step WT, well, sorry bro but I don't think this game is for you : as you said, CAS's advice is far from sufficient, and the conditions you need to fulfill just to slightly advance the game are sometimes so... intricate (to put it mildly) that some general advice would be of little to no use.

Multiple factors can lock a scene : sometimes you miss a memory, sometimes you miss a skill, sometimes you miss a fun point, sometimes you miss talking to a character that you didn't even meet yet and don't know this character even exists... sometimes you miss a combination of some of the above but you have no way to know for sure what you miss... and so on and on...
Exemple : imagine a general guide tells you "try to see all the scenes to the protest", do you know how many requirements you need to meet just for that? And most of those requirements need like 3 other requirements to be unlocked... and each of those needs like 2 requirements... and so on and on and on... it hurts my brain just to think about all of those :HideThePain: I fail to see how a general guide would encapsulate all of those... unless this general guide is like 69 pages... But at this point you might as well use a step-by-step walkthrough and waste less time... Trust me, it's not worth it :HideThePain:

Well this is weird. I went back to keep playing the game, and... it's broken. I don't mean it's hitting uncaught exceptions, or it's crashing, or there are bugs in it. I mean for some bizarre reason it simply won't run at all. Trying to open it does NOTHING. I double click on the icon to run it and I might as well be clicking on a black space on my desktop. My PC doesn't even think about it. No error messages, nothing. I even tried the 32 version- still absolutely nothing.

It's also the only Ren'Py game this has happened to. Every other one I have is working fine. What's with that?

I made a little guide a few years ago, I don't think it's completely up to date but what's there should still be accurate
Now, see? THAT'S very helpful.

Yeah, but then a lot of those "quest" would repeat itself... or more to the point, you'd need to repeat steps from previous "quests" once again to complete new one. Making the whole system unnecessarily complicated.

I'm not sure what "log of known info of characters" is. There is a memory system that list everything you know or learned about individual character or events that took place during the day.

Besides, CAS hints are more than enough if you read all the text and IF you remember what you read... granted, the second part can sometimes be difficult when you get new update every two months (last update I completely forgot one path even exist... which didn't block my progress but made it impossible to get a Fun point, once I remembered it getting that point was easy).

I used to play this game a while ago and I wanted to continue yet none of the timelines works.
Is there way to recreate them without restarting from the very beginning? timelines.jpg

All the complaints regarding paths and walkthroughs surprise me. They surprise me because, if you go to to HydraHenker's patreon he has three different types of walkthroughs available. One is a step-by-step, one is a hint system, and one is a goal system. Any one of those walkthroughs would fix all the problems you guys seem to be having. Pay the guy $5 and get everything you need to answer your questions.

For the guy asking about timelines from several revisions ago ... sorry, you're out of luck. You really need to just start over.

And for those who are thinking, "Hardace, just post the walkthroughs already". Sorry. I was a patron of his for about a year, but life got in the way and I stopped about 6 months ago.

BTW, HydraHenker is great about keeping his game updated monthly. What is interesting though ... if you contribute to his patreon, you'll be about 3 motnhs ahead of what's posted here.

And finally, here's a 0.62 walkthrough. Again, I don't have the most current, but this was the current at the time I quit contributing. It should help with some of the problems a few of you are having

Made a compressed Android port of Time Loop Hunter v0.63.10.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

Here is a suggestion to everyone. Save often, save a lot, and save even more. The best thing to do is save. Start a new game, save as soon as you can. Do this sequence, save. Do this part, save. Do that part, save. Save like you never saved before. Another thing, if you don't follow a walkthrough it is actually more important to be careful.

Why? What would be the point? There is no way you can mess up and lock yourself out of any content. In fact, game encourages you to try out every option available.

Far better advice and suggestion would be to read everything that is said and think about what you read. Don't just click through and most certainly don't have "skip text option" active because doing that ensures you'll miss things and get completely and utterly lost. And then you'll come here and complain about how hard this game is... how it's impossible to play it without step-by-step walktrough.

Actually, I have locked myself out of content. Last time through it was the hospital sections. Could only pick two choices out of three you were supposed to have as to whom for your mother to fire. Time before was something else. So, yeah, save at every decision. And that was with a step by step walkthrough. Couldn't go back because I didn't save earlier. Missed one thing, exactly one thing, and locked. Hard lock. So, save often, save a lot, and just save.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong on day 8. I had sex with Georgia, I'm pretty sure I'm on good terms with Ayumi, why do I keep getting a bad ending reset?

Also how the hell do you get the Hannah scene without Jessie? You can't do the yoga class for Jessie/Jody and search the storage with Cooper to get Alice in the same run right?

Try being on great terms with Ayumi. Give her multiple doses of drugs on day 3.

For Alice, clean the storage, don't raid it.
