You do understand that Aesouh is the only one who does the coding for the game?
On his own engine?

Motkeyz could very well care more than anybody else in the entire world about the current state of Lost Love, but he basically can't do anything else.

His options are;
1 - Continue as he is, hoping that Aesouh will live up his latest promise of getting to work on R12, whilst continuing on his new project that Aesouh isn't involved in at all.

2 - Declare Lost Love abandoned, never to be finished and focus exclusively on the new game.

3 - Remake the entire game from scratch in a different engine, which would mean either putting the new one on hold or developing them simultanesouly.

Pick one...

You should really read the thread a little bit before you make stupid comments like that, dude. This was from just 2 pages before this page. It took me the whole of 10~15 seconds skimming to find it.

If you're still too smoothbrained to read the dev's post, then here's the short version: Aesouh is dealing with personal issues more important than TimeStamps. It's built with his own proprietary engine and he's the only one who can finish the coding. Motkeys is waiting patiently just the same as everyone else who isn't a whining bitch.

Of course he's not the only one who can finish it, it's a Unity game. They could easily hire a freelancer that'd be done in a week or less, whatever the stage of the update.

The problem is that said freelancer would have to be paid and I assume neither of the two wants to part with their money, so here we are.

It's made in VNgine, which whilst it is a Unity derived engine is also an engine made by Aesouh himself.

It's only been used on the Timestamps games, under the purview of Aesouh only as the coder for both VNgine and both Timestamps installments.

I thought the whole point of having a proprietary game engine was licensing fees from other developers who wanted to use it. I suppose Aesouh must be some sort of auteur perfectionist who insists on crafting his own tools?

But if his motive isn't profit, then why is it proprietary at all?

I'm still in contact... is he reactive as much as I wish, sadly NO. He is still having personal problems right now and it may be more difficult than we thought dealing with all this. But he told me he is mostly done.

I deleted my last post cause I am dumbfounded how you get pissed at criticism. Get some tougher skin.

How many times have you told people Aesouh is close to finishing and say he is weeks away. It’s become a running joke.

Some actually don't understand how some type of criticism may affect people. What is the point anyway, do you really think that saying this can change something positively? I will never be the case! The only thing it is doing is getting some Dev demotivated, never the inverse!

When I mention Aesouh is almost done, it is because he said it to me that he is almost done. What can I do more, I do not code this engine and I cannot do it for him. I said that many times already and I explained the whole situation, so if you keep calling it a joke, for me it is not a funny joke at all. Imagine how I feel after saying it is soon be available to my supporter and it didn't show up as it was suppose to be? Don't you think it get me even more frustrated when someone mention about it. Sadly Timestamps will be complete when Aesouh is alright and ready to deliver it.

Trust me I would prefer to have it sold on Steam than waiting for it!

Well personally don't mind waiting because its a great game and worth waiting. Snags do happen in game development, its a process. And in the meantime plenty games out there i can play. As you can see by my sig i tend to play games that take a long time to develop so i don't mind as long as there is a quality update with a decent amount of content at the end. My only concern is that it doesn't get axed now that it is almost done. Its never fun picking up a VN and then having it be abandoned for whatever reason. So hopefully that doesn't happen with this one because this is one of my favorites
