The game is for playing and people who can't afford it should not have to be left out, however i think its realistic to say that if you don't want to pay or can't pay for it you can wait a little bit longer. That's why I wrote like what i did, It's not about being left out if you can't afford it. Heck I frequent this site as well and when I was a student I couldn't afford all games that I wanted, it's impossible to pledge to everything on here at once. This is just about us actually affording and being able to continue the project in the future, and it hangs on getting at least some form of support from our fans, i mean even at 1 dollar per month would be huge from a significant part of the player base.
Anyways, it's not easy developing a project like this and have to deal with full time working a day job with all the expectancies and comparisons with other projects here that they do work full time on. We sacrifice most of our spare time for this, you can only keep it up for so long until you realize you don't have a life anymore. So long term this will never work out, short term, we're enduring, we're hopeful, we're enthusiastic and passionate to bring you one of the best games out there.
I wouldn't worry too much about the game being posted here, lots of games on here get posted immediately and get good advertisement. You guys patreon has gone up pretty good recently! The important thing is to focus on making the game the best it can be, doesn't matter then if it's posted here in a hour or in a weeks time, the games quality will speak for itself and help you build an audience, (which it is doing as far as I can see!) Thanks lostraven Your support means a lot ot us. I think its that endless discussion of "Hey piracy can't hurt sales" but actually, it does, we saw it last time clearly. Especially during release date, then it drops off after a few days, so those are the most important days for us in terms of getting funding to continue. I have the numbers and can see it now since 0.4.0. The competition is not like what it used to be a year or two ago when you had only a few games that were popular, and there are still people up there getting so much support but are not really delivering for months. We already have good exposure, heck when we released 0.4.1, do you know how much game time was played on the release day alone? over a year's worth! We had 30'000 players coming in one day, so yes the first couple of days are mega important for us! But during those 30'000 we only gained ... 10 supporters. We also suffered from not getting pay up front with patreon so there were tons of scammers, but at least now things are looking much better than then As i said, i am optimistic, and sure that things will be fine =) And yes, it is looking good so far for this release! Thanks all new and current supporters, and our fans. When the game comes out here on f95 I am sure that you will like it, and how it opens up for the next release... and release

Well, that was a little shorter then I expected for a 0.4.2 version. But i think I know why.
This was my first time trying this title out, and I have some conflicting feelings about the writing. Or at least the story.
First and foremost, the way time travel works in this is pretty interesting. A bit complicated, but interesting none the less. Choices offered a second time while time traveling do produce different results, but they do not have a lasting effect outside of making our character more knowledgeable about events he hadn't experienced the first time. The only issue I felt was that the mechanic of time traveling, thus far, felt 'on rails'.
The story progresses only through the main line, there are no side stories or optional objectives. Perhaps this is because of the early stage of development this is in, but if we are this close to a 0.5 version then this game is going to be pretty short comparatively, if for no other reason than the fact it is playing out like a book and less like a game.
Now the family dynamic is another thing I question. It is clear that our character has a thing for his mom, but when she shows him any kind of affection he acts like the stereotypical son and says "gross" or "your embarrassing me". Now this does change when he goes back in time, but not when he is going through the true time line. It's odd to say the least. The father character is also a bit confusing, as he clearly has lost interest in his wife and is fooling around with his daughter. And from the time traveling section, he seems to be a-ok with his son having fun with his wife. Yet he was fighting the daughter off during dinner, and doesn't let the son go all the way with his wife. Maybe this will change later on, or perhaps he himself is conflicted about these choices, but I'd like to see him be cooler with his son fucking around with his wife. Like a bro-dad.
The character himself is a bit of a head scratcher. He has a friend who I feel like we should have a choice in helping him bang his mom, considering he's letting us go back in time, yet the story seems to be pushing for our character to cockblock and have fun this his friend's mother behind his back. (or right in front of him) Dick move.
I will say that if you're a fan of smoking, or think that women who smoke are hot, then this will be right up your alley. Not so much with me. I was hopeful that perhaps we'd be able to go back in time to help our mother quit the wacky tabbacy, but it seems the story prefers to have our character deep in the "mom is hot when she smokes" camp. So I doubt such a choice would be included.
The only thing I will say that surprised me, was the option to break up with the girlfriend character the very first time you see her. That was pretty unique.

Interesting interpretation Indeed the game feel is quite "on rails" right now, due to the fact how the game was shaped before we moved it over to its current engine. We are opening up more and more now for future side paths and side stories too. The version numbering don't really mean anything, we put it on 0.4.0 due to switching engine and right now all the 0.4.X is just content updates.
We are quite aware that the writing could be better, this is something that we always continuously look to improve. We clarified more things in 0.4.3 as well.
The game does have a smoking fetish and we can't really make it optional in that way, it also means a lot of extra work, when it's something that we want to have in the game. However, we have characters that do not smoke
The dynamics between them is a bit strained in that sense that they don't want to admit what's going on, and being a bit reserved, maybe childish sometimes about it. As things progress, the dynamics will change quite a lot too between characters.
There are multiple paths as well planned with Bacon and MC dynamics with heather. I can't really say much about it at this time

We respect dev's point of view and we don't force people sharing the new release (even if we know that they have it). However it is legit looking for the last released version and we will share it as soon we will have it.

As far as games are concerned, most topics are recognized by Devs and many have the forum as feedback ..

No sense trying to make everything opt-in. Going down that road might rob the game of its personality, and it would definitely create much more work for you.
