Every time i play Unity games at some point of the game it gets laggy and this game is no expection. Any advice what to do to fix that?
By laggy i mean the text shows up in slow fragments and the scenes where they show the characters from bottom to top are lagging and not as smooth as normal. I own top notch Dell Xps 15 with maxed out hardware and never had that problem on other games of that type but only on Unity games...

This version of the game is missing the v-sync option. Maybe this is the reason for your problem. But it will not explain, why all unity games starts to lag on your system. Did you try to deactivate your AV or add the game folder into to exceptional list of your AV program, e. g. Windows Defender?

Pls. try the Last Choice function and go back to the beach... and try to trigger the kitchen scene again.

Done that a few times, tried loading the game to a previous choice before that as well. No dice.

The correct workaround is to use last choice function and repeat from peeking on Nika.. after you peeked on Julia leave the house through the door.. if the map shows up, close it by clicking on "Close" button.

But it will not explain, why all unity games starts to lag on your system. Did you try to deactivate your AV or add the game folder into to exceptional list of your AV program, e. g. Windows Defender?

It's a more general issue with Unity itself.
It happens to some people with anything Unity, and other people don't have a problem. It can even happen with some Unity games, and not others.

I think it's related to how Unity handles system memory.

Nice to see the positive reception of the game

Remembered over a year back, how there where complaints of this game being a mess/clunky/not being able to save, short, constant complaints to move the engine to Renpy, etc. Now a year later no one has any reason to complain given the work you put in this one

Glad i havent move the game to renpy, it gave me the chance to search alternative and i Meet Aesouh! He develop an amazing Engine for the game and see where the game is today and still growing every day! We do our best to surpass ourselve every release!

I love this engine a lot more than Renpy. I didnt have a single lag or clunk factor whatsoever during all scenes of the game. Its so easy to play. Enjoyable with no headaches. Very customizable.

Hopefully new games transition to this engine.

But...I don't thing VNGINE is better than Ren'Py. I think this game would be better under Ren'Py.

You know that @Aesouh have release a Mac version couple days ago and its working great??
Renpy is there for years now, VNgine is not even 1 year old, it's not who got the best engine, but i havent regret my choice

Works on Mac and Linux. Here is the guide for wine (a 32bit prefix is needed!).

It is not always about the tools, it is more often how you use them.
If the Dev coder is more comfy and competent with VNGINE, i don't see why he would use renpy.
