You should provide the following information:

1. What OS are you running?
2. 32 or 64 bit OS?
3. 32 or 64 bit game?
4. What is the crash you're seeing?
5. What version of the game are you running?
6. Where did you get it?

Download 0.5.2, start over, play that until the end. Then load your save in 0.5.3.
