No. The reason why this update takes longer as the others is, because the games gets revamped. Means some renders have been redone, old content extended with new renders, dialogues rewritten, game structure changed, new content added to finish up Chapter 1. At the same time the complete game engine (VNgine) got revamped too! Well last point you will not really see but perhaps "feel" if you played all previous updates too.
All-in-all you get a regular update which will continue the story from previous version (day 9) and on top the revamp of old content including extended (new) scenes.
Looking at other devs what they deliver - or do not deliver after three months - then upcoming update is huge and still within an acceptable time period between last and upcoming update.
Or the game by Kyle aka Gumdrop.
We all know how waiting sucks.. but the frustrating part after a content and engine revamp is the testing! It needs time to go through the content - hell we have to cover 10 in-game days! And if you find a bug it needs to be fixed, then you have to test again... For example I'm annoyed by the sound! Over and over to hear the sound for the same scene during testing
...What can I tell you? Well.. be patient and relax a bit.. We doing our best to make sure you guys won't run into any bugs or have other problems during your game-play.

ICSTOR ran into a bizarre sequence of unfortunate events after he came back from his vacation.
It's been so long since the last update to this because the entire game is getting a rewrite.
Educate yourself a little more before you try being clever again.

ICSTOR ran into cash flow and doesnt give a fuck anymore thats it no other excuses.But this team is working their asses off to produce entire revamp and an update.

I am FED UP with all the lies and excuses I see in this thread. The TRUTH about the delay in this update is a SICK and TWISTED tale and MUST be revealed.
As you can see, the real reasons behind the current delays in the games release are UNAVOIDABLE and completely innocent.

I honestly don't see why this should matter to you, as judging by your previous posts, you won't play the game and just ask for a complete save

Wonder how the testing is going... I'd be thrilled if we see this released at some point over the weekend, but maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. I mean, I dunno about anyone else, but I know I'm pretty hyped for this revamp update, and doing a fresh play-through with one of the best games on this site!

Likewise. I just did a playthrough yesterday in anticipation for this update/rebuild to see if I can notice the difference between the old and new dialogue. (Yes, I did read Playboy magazine back in the day)
