So, you break all prior saves for the final version of this game, instead of making the final fully compatible and THEN moving on to the new tech for the sequel? Thanks for the big "F.U.!" to all of us! In spite of all the previous difficulties caused by your constantly changing the game's underpinnings and/or content I would've recommended this to people until this version. Now I have to put you on the list of developers to avoid.
There is a reason "saves" exist, understand? Doing what you just did is equivalent to making us stand in line all day at the DMV only to be told, right before we get up to the counter, that we have to go to the back of the line because the forms we filled out when we got there have been superseded by new ones during our wait. Of course, the main difference is that we actually NEED the DMV...

You didn't by chance unpack the file into that folder did you? You just place the archieve in the folder as it is. Then select the uhm family version on the menu screen when you start the game.

Y'all need to learn to be fucking grateful you're getting: 1) this game at all; and, 2) getting it for free.
Your lives aren't going to end by needing to play through it again to get new content. And if you're that blue-balled, wait like a day or two for the CG rip.

No offense, but I do NOT care about having to play old content again, just trying to share bugs I have found. And I know many (edit) others are trying (tiring?) to do the same. This pair is doing a great job of sharing, while not being so egotistical as to believe there just CAN'T be a problem with their stuff (with a custom Unity engine and all...)...
That said - Deleted EVERYTHING from old save/install, reloaded VC stuff, and game freezes at very early 'Blahblahblah' screen. What am I missing?

It's the final build of chapter 1. The next update will be the beginning of chapter 2, which I assume will be separate, but carry on from your choices in chapter 1.
Am I a bad person if I don't play the game yet because it's not finished, but I donate and support the patreon page?

So, given the version-numbering schema, I'm assuming between the 1.0 and a comment or two on the way here (stating that this is the 'last update') that this is complete, but also (between the lack of the 'completed' sticker and other various comments on the way here) that there are (is?) a not-insignificant amount of bugs with this latest release; would these be reasonable statements to make?

I didn't encounter a single bug while playing the whole way through. However others have, so I think it probably depends on your pc. It seems for most it works well, while others are having issues. I guess it depends on how lucky/unlucky you are.
I am having the same problem here, I start a new game and after clicking the initial images all I get is "Blahblahblah " don't know what to do.
