Since Dev has no statement against the mod, we can assume that this will be fine. The only impact is the experience and the copyrighted materials. Developers has created this map intentionally, although there are some complains, but this is not LS, so we just put it aside. Players can (if not absolutely) create mods if it doesn't contradict to the gameplay too much, that is reason the community can expand. Copyrighted materials, as people said, is a real deal. Dev team said that they might face a C&D if the game is too wide-spreaded, but in many cases, if they don't monetize artist's or company's works, don't do it big or don't claim it (no credits), they should be fine. Worst scenarios, well, they will have to halt the work to fix the pics, which might be a burden. So... because we don't want anything drives into a war and make a big mess, just let the players do what they want, experience the game by their own way... That is what any developers want right?
