Yo, can anyone enlighten me whether or not the mc is pussywhipped or not?
I've been wanting to play this for the sole reason that being a king with your own harem sounds hot but from what I can gather the mc has a very grave case of spineless disorder?
sex and how hot the bitch is is turning quite irrelevant
or at least secondary in regards to maintaining political stability
growing strong enough militarly and ofc economical growth!
So its becoming a political management game!
probably the safe option is picking the true leader of each faction and marring for whatever you need!
So marrying the rich merchant if you require money,
(thus assuaging the plebeans! the 3rd faction)
the daughter of the 2nd most important general if you need troops
(somehwat the western faction but not by much,
western is mainly the princesses and the widowed queen!)
or the old uggly asses granddaughter if you need political pull
(mainly eastern faction altough her father rules over hispania in the west)
her father and uncles rule provinces all over the empire plus her grandfather rules the court!
there are other choices such as some LI`s who are clearly western, eastern or even plebeians!
or ofc snuging them and go for an internacional choice that provide diferent advantages and disadavantages!
for instance Flora is like the worst choice she brings nothing except her body... hibernian slave...
you´ll have the choice of the Gaulish princess that brings a weak ally that because they are weak can be relied on!
(we haven´t met her yet!)
or the danish princess that depending on how you act might give you more provinces and/or military suport!
the danish princess might make the danes turn on you later on but short term... amazing choice!
there is also Flavia sort of western and plebeian suport!
thing is the eastern faction is the one with the money
but they bring along alot of political unreast and a shitload of baggage including a war!
so problems you must look at,
lack of money, if you snub the eastern faction
lack of soldiers, if you snub the western faction
lack of popular/political suport if you snub the plebeians!
eastern war still ongoing,
future northern war either against the "franks" which is how i identify them right now
or a future northern war to define the borders against the danes!
there is also question if you assimilate the gauls and reconquer britania/hibernia into the empire or trade them off for gains
in the eastern northern part you must also choose if you give up a province for the "sarmatian" cavalry or not!
somethings going on in egypt as well and in "greece/thrace!" thus you can pick a LI from those factions...
if you pick the old mummy/councelor grandaughter,
but snub him you might have just entrenched yourself with the western faction
if you betray the royal family you might have just entrenched yourself with the eastern faction
so if you play this game for the sex scenes...
