Ground was the main source of hostile behaviors and arguments and was banned for the reason of the community and the developers realizing that they can't deal with him much longer [...]
Once is chance, twice is either causation or coincidence. My point is that the community is shady and even without Ground or the original author it still is. At some point there should be some self reflection on why multiple people are 'needing to be banned', and if the problem is actually them or us.

I don't know where you even got the info that he just "moved on", as there's no one inside the community who interprets that situation in such a way.
Referring to the fact he doesn't seem to be involved with TKAF anywhere else outside of the Discord and its people from which he is banned from. Readers wouldn't know if he still contributes behind the scenes.

Readers outside discord wouldn't know about his existence at all. Just present facts as facts.

There were only two people out of the whole community who were banned. The first one was abusing his privileges, rude, and was promptly removed for that - that was before I was owner of the server, and it was close to the start of it's existence. The second, being Ground, was hostile in general, and was sparking conflict out of his own volution out of nowhere, while saying that he is just a critic. Many of it was also caused in DMs, but I do not wish to bring private conversations into this.

You may read the backlog of every Ground message in the community, I do not delete messages of banned people. While he had some good points, while sometimes I was in the wrong and I fixed the issues he pointed out, while he was loyal and never used his trial mod privileges wrongfully, he was really not a good person to be around or to keep close contact with, and overtime he didn't become any better.

By saying that he just "moved on", even with your reasons for doing that (which were also unknown to readers when you said that), you're unintentionally bringing out misinformation about the community and the individual involved - you're presenting him as someone in the right, while the situation was more on the grey side of things, like always.

I would be glad to answer any of your questions from my point of view, if you have any. Be it here or in discord, I am open for a conversation.

Adding onto this, after like 5 minutes of research, apparently the reason the original author departed was because of a falling out with the community at large. Generally speaking, he wasnt a fan of the Project Moon/Touhou/Black Souls trashy gatekeeping culture and in many ways he is just right about that. The Western/European Black Souls community based on YouTube and Discord is notoriously insufferable so something like this was to be expected out of a game which shared its fanbase.

If anyone wishes to support the original TKAF author their twitter is still up, but they have made it clear that they didnt wish to work on anymore NSFW projects to deter attracting the same psuedo-fantasy writer crowd.
Forgive my wall of text. I have yet to finish my coffee so i put in in a spoiler.

This is a common and reoccuring trope for the fanbase of these games outside of F95 and it isn't really surprising if you think about it. A lot of people online really made being a fan of Black Souls their entire identity and when you overshare in a community like this people will get hurt.

Need to add that his takes were the main reason of PseudoHeaven losing trust to dev team and returning to the server to ban them out of using the original designs.
Oh i overlooked your initial post.
Well while i cant really comment on anything else. Overall i think its a shame how the original dream of TKAF bursted like a bubble. Sucks even more that seemingly one indiviual caused or provoked the downfall of a interesting indie project.

The only comment i want to make is that i wish you and the new devs the best on your endeavor to create a spiritual successor!

And considering the whole situation......maybe its best to simply move on & try to create the game based on your original idears. I seen attempts to reanimate dead projects here and there. The main reason those fell apart of flat was because the original vision wasnt there anymore. Which then resulted in a mixed bag of unfinished themes, in the form of a fragmented story or weird gameplay decisions. Regardless whatever you guys want to create going foward i hope it works out!

I am. If you weren't involved in the Discord you wouldn't know about Ground or the original creators departure, bar their Twitter. That's my point.

No one would assume that considering when asked about the original author the response is censorship, even as a joke.[1]

Actually edit to this, this is just a partial lie, because even if you personally don't do this, members of the new dev team have publically gone out of their way to remove mentions of the original TKAF author in documentation. Again, regardless of whether or not the original author requested such. So that's neat.

While he had some good points, while sometimes I was in the wrong and I fixed the issues he pointed out, while he was loyal and never used his trial mod privileges wrongfully, he was really not a good person to be around or to keep close contact with, and overtime he didn't become any better.
This is just your opinion, and when your team's response to asking about these people's contributions to TKAF is aforementioned joking-but-not-really let's just memory hole them (out of their own game that they contributed to) so "newgens" can't ask about it (the entire TKAF community is new itself), then it is no surprise that your word is taken with a grain of salt.

By saying that he just "moved on", even with your reasons for doing that (which were also unknown to readers when you said that), you're unintentionally bringing out misinformation about the community and the individual involved - you're presenting him as someone in the right, while the situation was more on the grey side of things, like always.
Of course its grey. That's my point. I'm just skipping steps in logic and taking the personal assumption that these people who have left TKAF are probably in the right. You wouldn't know about how grey the situation really is with how the TKAF community is managed.

Thank you very much for advice and kind words. While we as a group or I as an individual will make some projects based solely on our own ideas in the future, we are already working on this project for a month or two, and, for now, are united solely with the idea of making it - most of us got to know each other only when we got to working on it.

Either way, I can basically guarantee that nothing but the main premise and most of character cast will be transferred from original to this game (well, maybe also the overworld sprite style), and the gameplay decisions made for combat will be released as separate demos to get player feedback before getting an eventual release. As of now there are 2 demo versions of combat that show in what direction we, more or less, are going to come with it.

Can't say that the other gameplay decisions would be known to the player in advance, but since there's 8 people in the team and enough testers to work with, we should have a pretty smooth sail.

I played this game for a while, but I did not find any sex scenes. How can I open the sex scenes?

Okay I read all the text about the situation it was hard to understand what happened with my below average English but I still got the gist of it. I was excited about the game and honestly hearing that the original developer has left really made me disappointed I really liked how the game was going I liked the game in its entirety but sadly I will never get to see it finished. Well I'm happy to see that some people still wanted to continue the game but lets be real whether its experienced developers or fans trying to continue the game it almost always ends up something different with only a trace of what was envisioned. The fact that the original art style won't remain is leaving me even more hopeless about the game but anyways I will stop my wall of text here.

Lastly I hope the development will go smoothly and turn out great even if the product doesn't become what the original was supposed to be it can still be a great game on its own.
Anyways I wish the dev team the best of luck and hope to see them being successful.
Also I seem to be really late on the news.

And worse, no brave soul—especially those who apparently were on the official pisscord—is willing to upload the artwork, of which was apparently done before the artist quit but before the game was updated with them, to a "piracy" site of all places.

I came to check up on this and LOL.
Looks like the project got too much attention for their liking and Nidot had a meltdown. Never underestimate the starving black souls community's ravenous search for Alice.
