Doc, we all know that your games are edgy, and push the bounds of reality.
Go for broke, Mary needs a war surplus German halftrack.
The MC needs a a surplus jeep.
Luna needs a Hummer, to let the world know what she is known for.
And Cozmo needs a Barbie Corvette, because we know that, that is what Luna would stick him with.

So I got to rendering a little late today. I had my PC on all night last night deleting unused DAZ3D assets and was hoping it'd be done by the time I woke up. I was wrong. Really wrong. It didn't get finished until almost 4pm. It is done now and I'm rendering.

The rendering time really hasn't gone up at all but the posing part has. In this update I'm trying to show more movement with the characters. One of the things I've been really guilty of Is just moving the camera around so scenes don't look repetitive when dialog is happening. The characters barely move at all. In this update the charters are moving around a lot. Y'all got a small taste of it in the last Extra Credit update in the police station. I wanted to see if it'd look good. I think it did. Now I'm doing that on a larger scale. So far it's looking really good.

Here's a tiny sample.

Question. Does spending so much time looking at your characters draw you closer to them, or does all the work you put into setting up scenes and renders make you more acutely aware that they're fictional?
I'm not sure. I'm very aware that they're fiction but I did create them and enjoy watching their stories grow. Hmm. Tough question.

I've been a little quiet today because I've been rendering since around 10:30AM. I've got a few more renders left to do for the flashback scene. This Alpha is going to have way more than 200 renders. I'm not sure what the full update will have though because I have yet to finish the script for the 2nd half of the update. As I said I hope for TS 0.9 to be quite long. Stay tuned... boot39.png

Appreciate the response. As with most things its kind of complicated isn't it? I was reflecting on how we can become sort of attached to fictional characters, and wondered if it might be even more so when you are the one who created them. But that's balanced by just how much work you put into setting up the scenes and rendering them. I kind of likened it to reading a story and something pulls you out of the immersion. The rendering and so on seems like it would have a similar effect.

I've never really gotten attached to fictional characters like a lot of people do. I enjoy them but I don't really get emotionally attached to them. I get attached to real people, my friends and family, but not really fictional ones. I do get immersed into stories though.
