I've played that but the quality is really low of the animations and general gameplay at least when I gave it a go a few years ago

Most of the stuff was male orientated as in that you play as a male or futa or female with strapon and could trigger rape animations on NPCs

I think there was one mod where you could have game over rape on a female player character where NPCs could rape your character after being defeated but it wasn't all that great
Definitely didn't delve too deeply into the mods on Loverslab then if those were what you took away from your experience, both on the quality side, and especially on it being mostly Male/Futa/Dominant player character oriented. The sheer wealth of female, submissive player character oriented content, or content that applies to both Dominant, or male and female player characters, is pretty staggering, especially when directly compared to PURELY dominant player character focused mods.

It can definitely be a lot more work to get a beautiful, and heavily sexualized Skyrim going compared to just playing a hentai game, but its without a doubt a modding scene that, by all rights, is pretty much the pinnacle of modded sexual content, and probably modded content in general really, and easily beats a *lot* of porn games on its own with just the sheer amount, and niches its fetish content allows one to experience, not of course including the fact that its all tacked onto a AAA game that facilitates a lot of that content pretty well as a, admittedly basic, ARPG.

Having a fully modded 18+ Skyrim is actually no work at all anymore. Like literally 2 or 3 clicks and you're done. It's all fully automated with Wabbajack. Just look up one of the 18+ modlists. You have Masterstroke, Licentia, Tsukiro and a few others I don't remember off the top of my head. Modded Skyrim is still hands down the best adult gaming experience and it's no longer a massive hurdle to get into.

Edit: My vote goes to Licentia, or more specifically Licentia Black. It's the most balanced list between gameplay and lewd content IMO. Tsukiro is more of a soulslike gameplay overhaul with lewd bikini armors. Masterstroke has more of a BDSM and fetish focus with all of the Devious Devices and Milk Maid content.

there's even quests mods for it my dude and some of it is both fun and hilarious like with the jarl solitude, there's a bunch of replacers for her for you to enjoy it a bit more tho
most used would be the toccata replacer
oh and the quest mods' name is amorous adventures (that was back then tho, not sure now)

I haven't modded very recently(it's been about a year) but animation quality has improved alot last time I checked. The only issue is that the sex anims seem to be bottle-necked by Lover's Lab/Sexlab. They're still using FNIS for installing animations when when more mod authors have been switching over to and expanding upon Nemesis and such. Even so, if it were five years ago I'd say modded Skyrim is probably the "best AAA hentai game."

Something as polished as Wild Life still has the same issues with transitioning characters into and out of interaction animations. It's to the point that they just use cuts and cinematic camera angles to cover it rather than find a way to make the transitions look natural. Sure, in Wild Life the animations themselves are more polished and look nicer but with mods like OStim/OSex/O"Whatever" Skyrim is quickly closing that gap.

I really want Hentai games demonstrate their value to the medium and I think the way to do it is to really innovate on how games are animated. Otherwise they'll stay as, in the worst case: any other game but with porn tacked on or best case: A niche that explicitly explores subject matter to it's logical extremes.

I'm okay with where we're at, don't get me wrong. I'm sure a few of us have played something like Soul Calibur or Bloodstained and thought "wouldn't it be nice if..." I just want this niche to have something innovative to offer to the medium as a whole. Less "we wanna be like the big boiz" and more "we want to do something cool and unique" or "Let's focus on these few important things and do them better than anyone." When aiming for "AAA Quality" is the goal, then not only are AAA publishers stagnating "just" the industry specifically, but the medium as a whole.

The game has a lot of potential. However, the dev should focus more on sex animations and enemy variety in order to attract more supporters. If you take a look at Wild Life for example, it's much less of a game than Too Much Light but it has a ton of folks supporting it on patreon. While I think it's a good idea to also take gameplay into account - the shooting works much better now than in the past, for example - the main reason people are interested in porn games is because of the porn, everything else is just a bonus. From an economic point of view it really doesn't make sense to compete with other open world RPG survival craft type games, it's much better to see other h-games as the relevant competition because let's be honest, people are willing to tolerate mediocre to bad gameplay if the sexy stuff is good.

That doesn't mean that the game needs to be bad, but h-game devs too often want to have it all at once and fail because their projects are too ambitious. Another good example would be the games from Kyrieru (hope the guy is ok and not dead): Relatively simple platformer games with good sprite sex. The gameplay is by no means bad for an indie game but the scope is straight forward. Meanwhile a lot of other devs want to have porn, an open world, RPG elements and good action gameplay when they most often neither have the experience and/or manpower to see any of these aspects through. If Too Much Light had no gameplay but a sandbox area where you could spawn NPCs and view sex scenes it would probably a lot more popular.

The game is good, but anyone know is there any quests after endless killing zombies in the bunker? Also, some NPCs look like rectangles. For some reason, the same sets of clothes fall out all the time, there are no such ones in the previews. Therefore, I had a question, maybe there are some other quests or I just have a bug in the game?

The issue is more the dev just disappearing for months and not having regular updates. Think there was a lot more interest when the dev was actually active. They can barely put out updates and you want them to focus more on H content than gameplay? I'm in the gameplay > H content group. Tired of all these 3D "games" that just turn into animation viewers, and all these devs that try to milk their Patreons as much as possible and string them along with promises of actual gameplay someday.
