Last time I react to low-effort posts containing insults, from now on I'll just report. Not sure why this thread is filled with people with almost no posts on f95. You can afford to add an insult to each sentence and lose your account, me I'd rather not, and I have better things to do anyway.

But just so you learn something today, freedom of speech doesn't apply to private forums. You're aware f95 already has a long list of rules that violate your 'freedom of speech', including some that say admins can take down your content for arbitrary reasons. What are you waiting to sue them?

Have you ever, one time in your entire life, stopped to think critically for just 45 fleeting seconds? That is LITERALLY what this dev did. Times got tough, so the game took a backseat while they focused on real jobs, and all ANYONE wanted to do was piss and moan about how the game was abandoned and it was all over. You know what happens when someone works a real job with real full-time work hours? They have less free time! You mean to tell me that every indie dev in existence should have to come home from a shitty 12 hour day at a job they fucking hate, then sit down at the computer for 8 MORE hours, grinding out a porn game so they can update it every single month, but not just simple updates. No, each update has to have an adequate amount of totally new content. New enemies, new animations, new mechanics, all for you to then go and pirate the game for free netting them absolutely no profit or actual incentive to do so? Every single developer should just bang out entire games for you to steal out of the kindness of their hearts, yeah?

Don't get me wrong, I know I'm on a pirate site. I know that's F95's entire reason for existing. I download games for free too. But the difference between you and me is that I don't bitch and cry like a six foot tall infant because the game I stole doesn't get updated as often as I'd like it to. But God forbid anyone actually point this brainrot retardation out, lest they be called a white knight dev simp.

First, this game is not done by a "lazy coder".

I have reviewed a good chunk of the code and it is in fact of pretty good quality. It uses Mono and C#. Please try programming a game with Unity before speaking, then you'll maybe understand that it's not for the average Joe, and you'll also understand why the average salary for just a junior C# programmer in the US is already 6,000$ / month.


Contrary to what you believe, developing porn games is a waste of time and money, if you have any programming skills, video games is KNOWN to be the worst industry to work in, even though many people start programming becuase they like video games, very few devs stay in it because they soon realize they could just get a normal software engineer job that would pay 2x more, that's partially why most games get abandoned these days and even big games like Battlefield don't manage to hire skilled developers anymore. NOBODY wants to work in video games anymore, and those who do, do it exclusively by passion NOT for money. If you want money, you work in finance, or AI.


Second, paid porn games have a much, much lower audience than typical indie games. The vast majority games on DLsite make less than 10 000$. You're suggesting the dev should work 2 years for free then sell it for 10 000$, that's an average salary of 420$ / month. WOW SO MUCH MONEY
